In the heart of Chamonix, 500 m from the Planpraz lift, you will be in the best place to enjoy the town's huge ski area. All the shops, including ski rental and equipment shops, are within easy reach of the flat, as well as numerous bars and restaurants. All the leisure opportunities are within walking distance: the Casino and the Alpine Museum in 1 minute and the Thermal Centre in 8 minutes by foot. As Described - But Terrible Smell
I will start by saying the apartment is as described and shown in the photos. You do have to walk through the bunk bedroom to access one of the other bedrooms. The beds and especially the pillows are very uncomfortable and need an upgrade. That is a very low-cost improvement that drastically affects sleep. The big issue is the smell. The apartment is above a restaurant and it smells like the exact fans empty directly into the hallway and it seeps into the entire apartment. It is a sickening smell. In the middle of winter, we had to open the windows to air out the apartment. It was so bad that we did not want to relax in the apartment after a day of skiing. The location was central and convenient. However, it is located on a road that is closed to traffic have of the day. So you have to carry your bags, along a snowy road, in the winter, for about 500 yards. Not a big deal, but it should be in the listing.
