Cozy Mountain View Chalet Near Okemo

Our chalet architecture is perfect for appreciating all the natural beauty that the four seasons have to offer. Relax on the deck while taking in the picturesque views of the mountains and spacious backyard at all times of the day.

Indoors, we have lots of little nooks to keep cozy and enjoy the natural sunlight streaming through the windows. Plenty of open space yet different areas for people to hang out in.

Enjoy a fully equipped kitchen with updated appliances, wine fridge, coffee machine, custom butcher block, and more. Large dining area seats 6-8. Family area has many comfy seating options to cozy up by the fully functional fireplace. There are two enclosed bedrooms to choose from: one with a queen bed downstairs and two queen beds located in the second floor loft. Additional sleeping options and laundry available if needed. There are two full bathrooms on site. Unwind and enjoy the games and "man cave" vibe in the basement.

If you plan to ski or snowboard at Okemo, please be sure to check with the mountain directly for reservations and any restrictions/proper protocols.

CHECK-IN PROCEDURES:
- Check-in time begins at 3:00PM.
- We use a keypad lock code instead of keys to make check-in and out easier and safer for both guests and hosts.
- The pad is located right on the door and you will be able to open & close the door with the provided code.
- Vehicles must park on the gravel.

CHECK-OUT PROCEDURES:
- Check-out time is by 11:00AM. (Late checkout may be subject to fees.)
- Please dispose of all trash securely inside the large bin at the top of the driveway. (Trash must be in bin and not left outside or exposed.)
- Do not leave any leftover food or drink in the fridge and make sure to clean out the coffee maker filter.
- Please collect all used towels and sheets and place in labeled hampers.
- Wipe countertops. Load dishwasher and run cycle. Put away all dishes, utensils, etc.
- Close windows and make sure all exterior doors are locked.

Great Weekend
Just spent the weekend at this Cavendish Chalet. Though the weather was not great our stay here was terrific. Very clean, nicely decorated and super cozy. Look forward to coming back!!!

Hidden Gem
This place is an amazing property in a hidden little enclave in an otherwise well traveled portion of the state. The house is beautiful, with amazing space. It is perfect for families and friends alike. The location has an amazing view of Ascutney mountain. It feels secluded, but is yet, very accessible with an SUV. 5/5 across the board.

Cozy accomodations perfect for a group
Feeling anything killing the house was lovely for our family. The kitchen table in basement were heavily used. We really enjoyed the well-stocked game closet. The view out the back was enjoyed in the morning with a cup of tea. There were many baskets of blankets that kept everyone feeling like home. The host was very responsive during our stay.

Perfect for an Okemo ski trip
This was a perfect spot for a ski trip to Okemo. House is awesome - recently renovated and In fantastic condition. The hosts were readily accessible and extremely accommodating. You are just a short 15 minute ride to Okemo where we skied both days during our weekend trip. I will definitely look to stay here again in the future.

Why they chose this property

This area has been a hidden gem for us to visit over the years. We have grown to love it and had the opportunity in 2020 to purchase it. Now we have renovated it to make it our own and allow others to enjoy it as much as we do.

What makes this property unique

Honeycomb Hideout VT is intertwined with both nature and cabin living. Simplistic design with rustic tones create the perfect amount of coziness and New England feeling for any time of the year. Cavendish is a local town with charm and character just adjacent to Ludlow’s Okemo Mountain (~15 minute drive). Our property has a magnificent view of Mt. Ascutney right from the deck. Lots of features, amenities, and open space to embody every experience that awaits while staying here.
