Mid-Century Modern Luxury Cabin

Come relax and escape at this Mid-Century Modern Luxury Cabin. Conveniently located about an hour outside Chicago, ~30 minutes from Lake Geneva, WI, and 10 minutes away from the charming restaurants and shops of downtown Woodstock - there is plenty to do year-round at this secluded 5 acre woodland estate.

Our 3,500 sq. ft. home with vaulted ceilings and ample deck/patio space on two levels is the perfect place to unwind and take in the outdoors. Enjoy time with family/friends in the game room or unwind in the bar + pool table room.

Summer Fun: Walking trails on property, yard games, fire pit, visits from wildlife (deer, birds, squirrels, turkeys, fox, etc), easy driving distance to multiple world-class golf courses

Winter Retreat: Private backyard sledding hill, trails for cross country skiing or snowshoeing, ~30 minute drive to Wilmot Mountain, ~45 minute drive to Alpine Valley Ski Resort

Small get-togethers of family and friends encouraged. No parties or events.

Spacious and very remote (A GOOD thing!)
We arrived at the location and it was a beautiful drive up to the property that sits off the road. The yard was very well maintained and nice landscaping. Inside the house was very clean and lots of room, we had 2 couples with 3 adult children and there was plenty of room. The host left wine and lots of bottled water that was muchly appreciated! The outside was nice and quiet and we enjoyed the evenings with the sounds of nature all around. There is a great bar area with a pool table downstairs which makes for a nice relaxing place to enjoy each other and have a nice evening together with the family. I would highly recommend the property and will most definitely return for another stay.

Peace...at last!
We were looking for something low-key and peaceful after a year and a half of constant soap opera levels of intensity and drama. We live in a large urban area, and wanted something organic. This property went beyond our hopes. The phrase "nature cathedral" came to mind while standing under the large Walnut trees, and most of the time all we heard were birds. Check-in/out was super easy, the accommodations were very comfortable, and what few minor issues we had were addressed very quickly and easily dealt with. The property is located within a few miles of "town" where you can find just about anything you need. I also was able to head into Chicago to visit a few orchid nurseries and had no issues getting there and back again. We loved our time here and would happily return, but for 2 weeks next time!

The best mini getaway!
We had the best mini getaway at this property. My husband, toddler and I wanted to take some time away in a more naturey space - and this was perfect. So much to do (walking around the property trails, yard games, cozy fires). Will definitely be back this summer to escape the city! Thanks for being great hosts!
