About this property

Lakefront: Dock, Hot Tub, Fire Pit & Home Theater

Two-bedroom renovated lakehome perched 50 feet above Tim's Ford Lake with spectacular views. It's the lower half of a lake home with a private entrance and a private covered patio, hot tub, gas fire pit and floating dock. The living room has a 10' pull down screen with an HD projector, surround sound and high-speed wireless internet. Two kayaks are available so you can explore!

The master bedroom has a lake view through 9-foot-wide sliding glass doors. A gas fire pit and hot tub are just outside on the private 400 sq ft covered patio, allowing year-round enjoyment of the lake. There's also a large wood burning fire pit in the yard overlooking the lake.

The 300 sq ft floating dock is great for fishing, boating, swimming or just relaxing. Life jackets are provided for the kayaks (TN law requires they be worn by children and present for adults while boating). In the winter, the lake level drops 15 feet making the ramp to the floating dock very steep. Kayaks are located on the landing, but getting the kayaks up and down the ramp in the winter is not recommended.

On rainy days or at night, the living room has a gas fireplace and can become a Home Theater with a 10' pull down screen and surround sound. There is
corn Hole, frisbees and board games. Highspeed internet with WiFi download speeds between 80 to 120 Mbps.

This is best for a romantic retreat for a couple, or a couple with one or two children old enough to swim and safely navigate the stairs, ramp and floating dock. This property can be used for two couples, but there's only one bathroom and the second bedroom doesn’t have windows. This is not a good property for loud, late night partying, since we have neighbors with young children on both sides and prefer they not learn new words, lol. It's a very safe neighborhood with an active neighborhood watch but there is a security camera in the parking area just in case. There's only parking room for two cars. There are 16 steps from the parking area to the apartment, and another 60 from the apartment down to the floating dock. Sorry, no pets.

We have an oversized driveway for your boat as well!

In the winter, TVA lowers the water level to winter levels. December-March the dock maybe inaccessible due to a steep grade in the gangway to the dock caused by the lower water levels. Caution should be used during these times if trying to access the dock.

This is a beautiful quiet neighborhood in rural Winchester that is located right on the lake!
With the lake, dock, stairs and hot tub, clearly, young children MUST BE CLOSELY SUPERVISED AT ALL TIMES for their safety.
Please keep outside noise down after 10 pm due to neighbors with young children ... unless the neighbors are being loud lol.
We have a very friendly neighborhood with an active neighborhood watch. The HOA welcomes renters but bylaws do encourage them to notify owners of inappropriate behavior. 20 MPH speed limit strictly enforced.

Get Away
We had a great time and enjoyed a quiet peaceful weekend. The lake is beautiful and the place was perfect. We had a few questions and Justin at Freedom Property Management was so responsive. He sent over another Justin, the handyman, to light the pilot in the gas fireplace and put new batteries in the remote. We felt very well taken care of and knew we could call if we had any questions. We would definitely rent again.

What makes this property unique

The small historic town of Winchester is 12 minutes away with groceries, several restaurants, a historic two-movie theater and a nearby Drive-in. There are excellent hiking trails near by such as Fiery Gizzard and Stone Door. There's plenty of wildlife including Deer, Red Fox, Red-Tailed Hawks, Blue Heron and an occasional Bald Eagle.
