Cozy Luxury Townhome: Family, Pet and Fun Friendly.

Our Northern Retreat Townhome is a gem nestled in a haven of quiet woods. This place is calling to you...its time to finally relax and breathe in the beauty.

This large, beautiful 2,200 square foot townhome, comes with a king suite, a guest room with a queen bed, a guest room with 2 bunkbeds, and a fold-out couch downstairs. The bunkbeds have a double-sized bed on the bottom and a twin on top. *The Northern Retreat Townhome can comfortably sleep 8-10 people. Depending on comfort in sharing bunks and beds, and the ages of children, it could sleep up to 12 people. After 8 guests there is a charge of $15/night per guest. Pets are welcome with a $50 set fee for your stay. A 2 dog maximum. The patio out the sliding glass doors has a grill and gas-powered fire pit. Sitting at the outdoor table and chairs gives you a look at the lake through the woods. The balcony off of the Master bedroom overlooks the lake.

Amenities include 10-foot ceilings, 2.5 baths, music in lower level and master bedroom, hardwood kitchen floor, stone counter tops, beautiful cabinets, incredibly comfortable high quality beds and linens, plush leather furniture, a garage stall in attached garage, all in a quiet setting approximately 1/4 mile from the Lake front Bar/Restaurant, VIP Club House, Marina, Arcade and Beach.

Located on the Snowmobile & ATV trails. Only 25 minutes from downtown Wisconsin Dells. Spend the day exploring the gorgeous Castle Rock Lake area, experience the night life and local flavor then slip away to a peaceful nights rest.

Overall a great stay
We vacationed around the dells and found this to be a great location. It was about a 30 minute drive from the Dells. It’s a quiet and peaceful area right on the water (no beach access directly on property but a short walk to). There is some places near by to rent boats. The beach area has the softest sand we have ever felt. Overall, our stay was great. We did have some concerns that the sheets were not clean. There was some crusty yellow stuff on one set of sheets and the other was just in general dirty. We also were surprised that for a house that lists it could accommodate up to 12, it didn’t supply bigger dishes for large meals, seating in the living room only fits 4 and the kitchen table only seats 6 but others can sit at the island if need be. Closet in master room is locked so no where for hang up clothes unless borrowing a closet from other rooms. Property manager did not need to be contacted during our stay but we had great communication leading up to our stay. We did not have an issue with internet during our stay. It would be nice if there was some activities for the house (such as yard games, additional board games, lake floaters). Overall it was nice.

Not worth the price
This property was disappointing. Beware of small details. They do not provide shampoo, soap for in the shower/bath (unless you want to use liquid hand soap), coffee, facial tissues or beach towels. I have not stayed at a rental property before that did not provide these basic amenities. Because we flew with carry-on bags only, space was limited in our luggage. The grounds around the townhome were not well-kept--lots of overgrown grass and weeds. Things seemed relatively clean inside but there were wrappers on the floor in the master bedroom, and coffee grounds and coffee in the coffee pot from the previous renter. The development that the town home was in was eerily quiet (even on the Saturday we were there.) The on-site restaurant (which does not get very good reviews) was closed during the week and the pool is not open to renters. The beach was deserted. The setting is pretty in the trees with views of the lake, but the best view is from the master bedroom balcony. The patio downstairs has only a round log table with benches and a grill. There were two folding lawn chairs and one beach chair in the garage, which we planned to use to watch the sunset--but then realized the beautiful sunset pictures on the site are actually pictures of the sunrise which, in July, beams directly onto the bed in the master bedroom. There was just an overall atmosphere of "hanging on" and doing the minimum to get by. I would not stay again. Way overpriced for what you get.

The property was very nice and convenient to the highway but pictures misrepresented access to the lake from the house. While it is lake facing there is a major drop from the yard to the lake which creates no access to swim. However, there is a beach nearby. Back yard is shared with neighbors who have 2 very large dogs staked out there and gives limited access for kids to play.

Obviously the lake is awesome along with all the year around activities that are available… fishing, ice fishing, snowmobiling, boating, trails, etc…. Also, it is only a few hours North of my childhood home. No need to drive 4 or 5 hours North!"
