True Cabin Life
I went to this cabin with my sister's we all live in different states. This cabins was stocked from kitchen supplies to dry wood. They even had tubes that we used to float down the river. The setting was beautiful and quiet and when the neighbors came around they were friendly and great to visit with. We did most of our cooking there . Although for $140 a night some updates would be nice like better beds and some new windows and screens would really improve this place. Would we all go back again if the opportunity arose most definitely. Contact with host was easy and helpful she gave very clear direction how to get into the cabin. We had a blast!!!! Take your own water along.

Had a fun stay, decent place overall
Not a whole lot to say, it's a rustic cabin as the listing says. It's well kept, everything was in place and working. The neighbors were friendly. One thing that was a bit of an issue: the instant we arrived we were swarmed by mosquitos. I had two types of bug spray and a hat with mosquito netting, but ... wow. My son and I wanted to be outside doing stuff, but we had to have constant vigilance to survive the onslaught. My wife basically refused to come outside LOL. She said something about wanting her blood to remain in her body. There is a screened in porch as well, so we ate dinner and played games there for most of the time. Not the fault of the hosts of course, it is what it is. But just be warned =). Two other issues: 1.My son, who is 11 wanted to do smores, but we couldn't find any skewers, not a big deal, we used some sticks. But I could see where others might be like "well don't we need skewers?" 2. There was a container with drinking water available and it was fine for me, but I think others will probably want to bring their own water, the well water is not drinkable, as the host states in their notes.

Short Stay by the Wapsie
We had 8 in our party, we enjoyed the stay. Property was as described. Not a lot of cooking utensils or skillets to make meals with but maybe that is in the description. Crank the AC when you get there, screened in patio is very nice to escape mosquitos.

Rustic Cabin on the Wapsi River
Exactly as it was described, it's a nice rustic cabin deep in the woods by the river. It's very off the beaten path, which was just perfect for our needs. No wifi, no big TV, spotty internet/phone service, so we just chilled, hiked, enjoyed cooking and each other's company. VRBO owner was a great communicator and the cabin was very well appointed with everything we needed. Pleasant stay!
