About this property

Sweet Amenities, Comfort & Nature !

Our Bakery Bunkhouse started as a local bakery / cafe, which was recently "upcycled" to function as the most charming home away from home. Its' open concept is spacious & its' inviting coziness is indescribable! You will find "Hygee" (comfort, cozy, ambience ) here, like you've never imagined ! - Bonus = our "Bakery Bungalow" is next door, which sleeps 5 guests, if you have an extra large family ! ;)

Rock Hunting
Very homey, lots of decor which makes it unique. We were constantly looking at the items in the house. We love antiques so it was right up our alley. We had muffins waiting for us when we arrived and fudge and a homemade decoration when he left, giving it a personal touch. We loved our stay and will go back.

Just amazing!
So much detail has went in to this. What an amazing stay we had. Beautifully decorated, very cozy, there was basic supplies and delicious cupcakes and cookies provided. One of the best places we have ever stayed. They kept the Christmas decorations up and there was lots of snow outside. A pure visual delight. Thanks Gary and Jerri. Cant wait to visit again. 👌💯

We love to host and entertain, especially sharing the hidden "gems" of our beloved corner of the Upper Peninsula. We own a custom order bakery business & another "bed & bakery" house next door. Our guests have our freshly baked goods and a variety of beverages & treats waiting for them in the house when they arrive. We pray that our guests feel like they are family, pampered and enveloped in the peace of God, while visiting our homes! We want our guests to feel refreshed, pampered & truly treasured! - Gary & JerriAnne

Why they chose this property

Our Bakery Bunkhouse is like no other ! This home away from home, is cozy, yet spacious, welcoming, peaceful, beautifully decorated and located only 2 miles from downtown, yet semi-rural with a 1 acre wooded back yard where deer visit daily. It is also very close to hiking & biking trails, snowmobile, atv & cross contry ski trails, ski & tubing hills, rivers, lakes, shopping, dining & theatrical / arts entertainment !

What makes this property unique

Please Note: our unique home is open concept / European cottage style... the large loft with queen & single bed has privacy curtains as a barrier from other rooms. The small loft with 2 single beds has a lower ceiling, (adults cannot completely stand straight) making it more ideal for mature children or flexible adults . This loft is a cozy "crawl into bed" style, similar to the Laura Ingalls' sleeping loft from "Little House on the Prairie" ! The staircase to this loft is spiral / off-set style, which does have railings on both sides, but is not ideal for carrying bulky luggage upstairs. There are privacy curtains as a barrier from other rooms.
