Perfect Northwoods Getaway
Our family was looking for a place to enjoy cycling, hiking, and dining while our kids experienced nearby wonderful Camp Jorn for the week. This cabin was the perfect way to have it all. We loved being directly on the bike trail but also having the feeling of seclusion in the evenings around the bonfire. It's an easy drive to great restaurants and WinMan trails. We had an incredible week and would definitely stay here again. Thank you for the memories!

Beautiful Cabin in the woods.
This cabin was a very nice place to stay for our Up North vacation. Plenty of room for my family and nice private yard if you want to spend time outside. Very clean and updated. My kids enjoyed going out on morning runs on the bike path that runs right in front of the cabin.

About the host

Being being born and raised in Iowa farm country, we love the outdoors. We grew up in rural areas and love the rewards of a hard days work. After college, our careers have taken us to several states. One state was Illinois where we had our two sons. We made great friends in Illinois who introduced us to the Northwoods of Wisconsin and the fun of snowmobiling. Our jobs has since taken us to Texas. But our heart will always be in the Northwoods and it's beauty. Three of the four of us are Iowa State grads or student. I was the rogue who graduated at UNLV. We love our place and hope you do too. ~Steve, Pam, Jared and Jakob

Why they chose this property

We purchased home as a place where we can go to escape the hustle and bustle of Houston, all while enjoying our northern friends. We are Midwesterners at heart and love the snow and snowmobiling. We quickly learned of all the fun to be had during the summer months in the Manitowish Waters area. Our home is nicely situated on the Manitowish Waters Bike Trail. Fifty miles of paved trails winding through the pine trees, along lakes, through quaint towns with comfortable rest stops along the way. The home is also located on snowmobile trail – which was our driving force in buying it! To get to Trail 2, follow the Clear Lake Road trail to the groomed trail a short ¾ mile down the road. From there enjoy 1,000s of miles of groomed snowmobile trails in the Northwoods of Wisconsin and throughout the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Don’t miss going across Lake Gogebic in Michigan.

When we bought the home, we quickly began working on building out the downstairs to living space and making the upstairs our own. We laid every tile, painted every inch, and planned every detail. It is a functional home with a Northwoods vibe. There are a couple minor things to complete. But we are happy to share our home with those who appreciate the Northwoods.

What makes this property unique

It is on bike trail, snowmobile trail, and 1/2 mile from a public boat launch. The home is 5 miles from Manitowish Waters and 13 miles from Boulder Junction. The route to the home is all paved roads. The driveway is asphalt.
