Lovely Cabin In the Forest
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! You’re greeted by the sweetest dog, and make your way across the bridge to your cabin with everything you need for a cozy stay in the forest. The bathroom isn’t insulated so gets a bit cold at night (we stayed there at the end of October) but overall a great place to stay as we explored the area.

Idyllic stay
Idyllic stay in a cozy cabin. Hannah and Sterling are the most thoughtful hosts. We also loved their dog, Nai’a.

So Cool
This is such a cool little tucked away cabin in the redwoods. You can tell a lot of thought and love went into it. Loved the bridge - def added to the magic. Very sweet and simple, but has everything you need. Looking forward to a return visit.

About the host

Hosted by Hannah & Sterling Schlegel

Host profile image
Hi! Hannah grew up in West Marin/Kaua'i and is a midwife. Sterling grew up on the Chesapeake Bay and is a carpenter. We are so fortunate to be living on this rugged and gorgeous coast and happy to share our land with visitors from afar. We have a rambunctious male orange tabby named Rose and a sweet old Shepard named Nai'a. Both will most likely greet you upon arrival rain or shine. We live on the Western edge of the property, in the original A-frame dwelling built in 1974. We spend our free time renovating, playing music, cooking and enjoying the beaches year round.

Why they chose this property

The incredible views, the peacefulness, the immediate feeling of sanctitude as the fog rolls in. The dwellings are unique and we appreciate all the craftsman details. We have been restoring the cabins to their original splendor, keeping the authenticity alive while adding our own aesthetics. We love all the native plants on the land, watching the wildflowers bloom, the berries ripen and the sweet community on Navarro Ridge.

What makes this property unique

Walk across a redwood bridge, over a spring to your front door. The Bridge Cabin is secluded in the trees, yet filled with light. We love the peace, quiet and privacy and so do our guests.
