About this property

The Chalet on the Ridge- a Mtn, ski and lake Escape!

The Chalet on the Ridge is on a private 2+ acres with amazing views of the Bigelow Mountain range with a seasonal glimpse of Flagstaff lake. Available as entire house only, this 3 bdrm/3 bath+sleeping loft home was designed with family in mind.

Quite, remote-yet close to everything you could ever want! 15 min to Sugarloaf and 45 min to Saddleback!! ATV/Snowmobile access minutes away via Eustis Ridge Road or Porter Nadeau towards Tim Pond. Arnold trail club is a great resource for up to date trails. Very close to Cathedral Pines camp ground (see last pic) which offers access to a public sandy beach and swimming area as well as kayak rentals. Awesome walking area with lots of shade and views! Many mountains, hiking trails (Bigelow Preserve), and the Narrow Gauge Trailway for Mtn bike trails/walking system. Sugar-Bowl and anti-gravity center close by for those winter/rainy days!

The main level offers entertaining space for 15+ with large exposed wood beams and floor to ceiling brick fireplace (currently non operational). A large 6 person table, 4 person bar, rocking chairs and 2 large couches all looking out through 20 feet of windows makes for a memorable time!

The top floor has a large loft with king and 2 twin beds- with great views. Just down the hall is another bedroom with 2 full beds.

The lower level is a full walkout with game room. Game room includes pool table, living area and two twin beds. There is a full bath and 2 additional bedrooms on this level. 1 bedroom has a queen bed and the other one has 2 twin beds.

The property can accommodate 14 guests in 10 beds and has plenty of space/parking for campers, tents, RV's, and ATV/snowmobile trailers.

Both living room areas include large flat screen TVs, house has 5G high speed WiFi and good cell service.

The exterior has a large porch with a spectacular views and seating for your enjoyment. Watch the wildlife year round from the dining room or step out to the porch to get a beautiful view of the mountains. The outside fire pit and level ground offer great space for outdoor relaxation and tenting/trailering if desired.

For food, Pines Market is a favorite; offering awesome pizza, subs and some the best bacon you’ve ever tasted. Pines has all the food, household items and odd/ends you’ll need. Drive 10 mins in either direction and you have Trail's End Steakhouse, Backstrap Bar & Grill, and the Coplin Dinner House to name a few. Check out the Looney Moose Cafe for a great breakfast or lunch spot. Mandy's food truck at Cathedral Pines campground is a great spot for breakfast wraps, lunch eats, milkshakes, and ice cream cones. Don't miss all the eats in Rangeley, just a short 25 min drive. The Furbish Brew House in Rangeley is our favorite.

Summer and Fall activities/amenities include outdoor fireplace for camp fires, picnic table, and gas grill. The area is not just for Winter, it is gorgeous in the Summer and Fall too! There are so many options for the family to get out to explore and enjoy the best New England has to offer.

Other Activities: Hunting, X-Cross Skiing, Turbo-Tubing, Snowshoeing, Canoeing, Summer Programs for kids, Moose Tours, Appalachian Trail, dog sledding, fly fishing, boating, kayaking, paddleboarding.

Golf: Sugarloaf Mountain and Eustis Par 3 9 hole course that is 10 PP at Mingo Springs/Rangeley, Maine -Moose Meadows/Coplin, Maine

Ski: Sugarloaf and Saddleback Mountain

Check out our other listing: Brivera in the Mountains, just 1/2 mile down the hill from this home.

**During the winter months, it is highly recommended to have a 4WD/AWD vehicle to get to the house. The road and driveway are plowed/sanded regularly, but please let us know ahead of time if this is a concern.**

Sugarloaf Ski Weekend
Perfect spot for a Ski Weekend at Sugarloaf. Property comfortably fit out group and had everything we needed. Got a foot of snow and the plow was over to get us ready each day. Will be back!

Annual ski trip
Loved the house. One of our favorites of all the ski trips we’ve been on. Everything was clean and neat. If there would be one thing I would change it would be the bedroom layout, Only having one bedroom with a double bed and one with two double beds was not conducive for the couples on our trip. Other than that everything was perfect!
