Generations have enjoyed the charming Water's Edge, which is part of the Otis Point area of Tenants Harbor. Your vacation house is well-appointed with modern convinces and classic charm coupled with privacy and waterfront grace. You'll love the swing in the front yard, the views, the multiple outdoor living spaces, the large lawn, and the ease of the home's access to the waterfront. The fact it is both tidal and features deep water makes it great for kayaking, sailing, swimming, and exploring the waterfront. The drive to Tenants Harbor or Port Clyde is easy via car or bike and there are just as many places nearby to access without a vehicle.

Inside, you'll find a kitchen with a center prep island, a dining area, and a living room. The kitchen is modern with plenty of counter space and the marble-topped island is a favorite spot for breakfast. The dining area seats guests and grants exquisite views of the deck and waterfront. The living room area has a large sectional sofa centered around a wall-mounted TV to watch as you wind down, while the telescope there allows you to examine the gorgeous landscape in more detail. When the evening comes to a close, the luxurious main suite upstairs boasts a sitting area, vaulted ceilings, an alcove, and an en suite with a shower/tub combination. Several bedrooms also feature views of the water, making for scenic beginnings and endings to each day.

Underwhelming but nice location
We loved the location and the cozy cabin feel/decor. Unfortunately, we had a rough start from check-in, to completely unresponsive/absent property management. It was as if no one had stayed there since last summer. We started with difficulties entering the home per check-in instructions. It didn’t seem like anyone had prepared the home for us. There were multiple dead flies on the beds and upstairs bedroom carpet, lots of dead ladybugs/other bugs in the upstairs bathroom, and the most troubling part was the water and plumbing. At first I thought we were going to have to find somewhere else to go. None of the toilets flushed and were backed up with a strange gray dust debris. The sinks and showers dumped brown water and debris. We spent so much time plunging the toilets and spent the next day or so flushing the system and getting things moving until we could use the upstairs shower. The upstairs shower doesn’t drain - we still attempted showering with it filling up, along with all the dead bugs in it. This stay definitely felt more like a rustic camping adventure when it came time to bathroom use. The other major disappointment was that none of the patio furniture was set up like the photos. The patio was bare and the cushions stacked inside. We were able to find some of it in the shed and set it up ourselves which was one of the major rental attractions due to the beautiful view. I’m disappointed to leave a negative review - we were really looking forward to our stay but spent all of our time with family at another rental property to shower, do laundry, and take advantage of their amenities. This property’s price point at $5,200 for one week is not worth the value in comparison to the other rental we had. The most upsetting part of our stay was being on hold for hours first checking in, even after calling the emergency line to get the water working. Someone has still yet to reply to an email asking for help during our stay.

Perfection
Everything about this place was great. It was easy to get to and in an awesome location. The house was clean and comfortable, the kitchen was stocked and the views over the water were to die for. It is a short drive to Camden, Rockport or Rockland and a short bike ride to Port Clyde. Close enough to McLoons (best lobster roll in Maine) for multiple visits in a weekend.

Even Better in Person
The home and location are absolutely stunning. The home is even more gorgeous in person and provides ample space for family outings. Every possible need is provided. There is water all around you and the decks let you enjoy the amazing views in comfort. A great destination for a true escape, with adorable towns within 15 mins drive. Be sure to check out Port Clyde and buy live lobsters right off the dock from Off the Dock Lobsters, to prepare at home. We can't recommend this home highly enough!

Beautiful view
We had a wonderful time. We especially loved sitting on the decks watching the tide come in and out. The house was very nice and the area was just beautiful and peaceful. We will definitely vacation here again!

Gorgeous Location!
Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been renting twice a year for the last 15 years all along the Mid-Coast Shoreline. The Waters Edge House has spectacular views! It is 1 of 4 properties on the tip of the peninsula but quiet. We all know that this year has been challenging with Corona Virus but checking in at 5:00pm to make up your own beds and check out before 9:00am after stripping, bagging bedding and towels and was excessive and took away from the experience that we are used to. (Especially with the exorbitant cleaning fees) The lighting fixtures had bug carcasses in them. Also, the place could really use an update in the living area and kitchen. The kitchen needs new glassware, dishes, pots, pans and especially a lobster pot! The upstairs bath is in pretty bad shape too. Thankfully the outdoor shower was a treat! With that being said, I would recommend this house and we would come back with our pups.
