About this property

Historic Appalachian Log Cabin on 22 Idyllic Acres

Welcome to Long Branch Farm, a historic log cabin built in 1897 that sits on 22 beautiful and secluded acres. It's the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the freedom of open space.

The cabin is charmingly rustic with all the amenities of modern living, allowing you to step back in time with comfort.

~ 5 min to Lansing and our favorite spots: Old Orchard Creek General Store, Pie On The Mountain, Liar's Bench, & Molly Chomper Cidery.

~ 15 min to West Jefferson

~ 25 min to Grayson Highlands

Charming, magical, romantic, and comfortable are all words used to describe the cabin. We take extreme care to preserve the historic charm of the cabin, while making it a comfortable place to truly relax and enjoy.

PRIMARY BEDROOM- king size bed with soft organic cotton bedding, an armoire for clothing, and a desk for working (up a small staircase that's original to the cabin).

SECONDARY BEDROOM- full size bed with soft organic cotton bedding, an armoire for clothing, and a reading chair.

DINING ROOM- fits 4 comfortably, but there will be additional chairs for more people if needed. Lined with beautiful windows to see all the natural surroundings.

LIVING ROOM- has a large comfortable couch, a wood burning stove that heats the cabin up quickly, a reading chair, and a TV with streaming options.

BATHROOM- full bathroom with shower. Toiletries and essentials provided.

KITCHEN- small, but functional fully stocked kitchen with all the essentials. Cabinets are wormy chestnut and authentic to the cabin. Kerosene monitor heater that works very efficiently. Coffee provided.

OUTDOORS- the front porch is equipped with plenty of seating to sit for hours and enjoy the view. Perfect both rain or shine. There is also a grill and picnic area on the side of the cabin perfect for hosting alfresco meals.

We hope you enjoy the space and the property as much as we do. It's a very special place with a lot of history and we're excited to share it with you!

Perfect
It was seriously one of the most beautiful cabins I’ve ever been in. My partner, dog and I loved the property and ran about. It was my 30th birthday when we stayed at the cabin and Shelby gave me a $10 giftcard to her coffee shop downtown, so sweet!!

Cute cabin for some peace and quiet
We loved this little cabin, it was super clean, cosy and well stocked. Perfect place to relax and unwind for a few days. Loved seeing the many deer every morning and evening eating apples from the trees on the property. My corgi loved exploring the property and playing with Lance the cat. Owner was very responsive to any questions we had.

Cool Memorial Day
Fabulous location to enjoy nature and relax. Had there not been clouds star watching would have been marvelous. Plenty to do for the nature enthusiast in this pristine corner of the state. If you want to get away from it all Long Branch is perfect!

Great Cabin
Our family loved this cabin! It was tucked away, and very neat to stay in an historical cabin. The cabin was very clean full of charm. We will definitely stay here again.

Perfect weekend getaway
Beautiful historic cabin with so much character. We loved watching the deer around the cabin, and Lance, the cat, was a sweet addition to sitting on the porch.

I'm Shelby, a lover of the outdoors and, especially, the Appalachian mountains. We bought this property as a place to visit often and to share with others.

Why they chose this property

This property is stunning, secluded, and a place to reconnect. We're lucky to own this special place and love to share its beauty with others. It sits far enough back to feel totally removed and secluded, but only a few minute drive to the best spots in Lansing.
