•13.25% of your total bill is paid directly to the state of Hawaii and the county of Kauai as a transient accommodation tax, 4.712% is paid as a general excise tax, and an additional 3% as a county tax. So if your total bill is $1000, I will pay approximately $210 just in those taxes alone.
•For cleaning, I pay 450 not including supplies so I am out of pocket approximately $65 per stay including supplies. Kauai is one of the most expensive cleaning locations and I am sure that I have the most meticulous cleaners on the island.

Covid Related FYIs:
•It is worth mentioning this is an isolated guest house. Nobody else has or needs access to the guest house or the laundry other than the cleaners. The closest building is a front guest house separated by a hedge ~50 feet away.
• I have a smart lock requiring no keys. This allows you to do contactless check-in.
• My cleaning company uses updated Covid-19 cleaning procedures with disinfectants. Further, I believe I have the best cleaning company on the island.
