Only 8 miles to downtown and 5 miles to The Domain! Done in Texas decor, this is a perfect place to relax & enjoy your stay in Austin. Full-grain leather sofa, solid wood furniture, 70" TV in living & 50+" TVs in bedrooms. The kitchen has a Keurig Duo, full spice rack, Calphalon cookware, washer, & dryer.
The space
During your stay, you will have easy access to the home with the keypad entry and will enjoy the convenience of self-check-in. The beautifully renovated kitchen is stocked with silverware, utensils, pots, pan, dishes, mugs, glasses, plates, and bowls. The pantry holds spices and other cooking essentials if you decide to cook during your stay. There are a dishwasher and a laundry room in the unit for use as well as an iron and ironing board! The bathroom has soaps, some bathroom essentials, and a dryer for use also.

Cheap but you get what you pay for
The house was old, which isnt an issue, but with great age comes great smell. It was musty and had the faint scent of animals. The beds were pretty much just a mattess topper they were so uncomfortable and thin. This place is supposed to sleep 6, which is why I rented it (I needed a bed for me and one each for my two friends). But when we arrived it was just the two queen beds and a couch. We assumed (my fault?) that the couch was a pull out mattress, but it is not. When contacting the owner, he told us there was an air matress somewhere (which there wasn't), so we just threw our hands up and ended up just using the couch. Which surprisingly turned out to be more comfortable than the beds! All in all, cheap but we got what we paid for. Just keep that in mind when planning to stay here. It's not a 1 star but it's far from a 5 star.

Da muss man schon tapfer sein, ich will da nicht mehr hin.
Das Objekt ist in einer Sackgasse gelegen und daher verhältnismäßig ruhig. Die Fenster die man öffnen konnte hatten auch Mückenschutz und die Klimaanlage ging vernünftig, hatte nur manchmal selbständig die Zieltemperatur verstellt auf "ziemlich warm". Leider ist die Substanz nicht geeignet zum vermieten: Eingangstür klemmt, ich musste teilweise bis zu 10 mal früh den Schließmechanismus starten, um zu verschließen (wenn man das nicht kontrolliert, bleibt die Tür offen und man denkt es wäre verschlossen). Bei öffnen des Geschirrspülers kahmen beide Körbe entgegen und der untere ist sogar ganz herausgefahren- hier galt es immer festhalten. Besonders wenn man alleine ist, ist einräumen sehr schwierig. Da die Töpfe auch nicht sauber waren und nichts zum manuellen Reinigen da war, habe ich unsere Ausrüstung aus dem Büro genommen und auch dort gereinigt.... Die Mülleiner waren nicht alle sauber und hatten noch die benutzen Hygieneartikel der Vormieter drinnen (*war sehr ekelhaft*). Ein Bad hatte heißes Wasser, was dafür aber auch sehr stabil und schnell zu Verfügung stand, beim anderen Bad hatte ich nach 15 Minuten Warmwasser laufen aufgegeben. Ich werde das nie wieder buchen und werde die FeWo Bewertungen in Zukunft deutlich differenzierter ansehen.

Raw sewage paradise
Had raw sewage back up in toilet and bathtub for two days so couldn’t stay. Third day the drains were clear but the whole house reeked of sewage and the bedroom carpets were stained brown. So didn’t stay any of the five days. VRBO covered the first two days in a hotel but we were on our own for the rest of our vacation. No help from VRBO or the owner for even a partial refund. Very disappointed in the whole process. Feel really let down by VRBO.

Convenient location for our needs not a vacation destination
The location met the needs of my husband and his brother being close to their father's house who was/is in ill health. It's not a location for a vacation as it was near a busy street, and there are not chairs and a table for the patio or anything out front to relax. It is also dark inside. The only real issue was the lack of cleanliness as there was a dirty plate in the drawer of a BATHROOM and dirty baking sheet in the oven, not enough coffee, also the towels were still in the dryer and not put in one of the bedrooms. I think a new maid service, some outside furniture, some efforts to brighten up such a dark place are all easy fixes. I want to say I was appreciative of fast responses and will consider returning for the easy of the location. Thank you

Accuracy of listing
Toilets and appliances need to be repaired or replaced. There is no microwave and the kitchen supplies were sparse to the point we had to buy items to cook/eat our meals.
