About this property

Immaculate Zerbe designed Mid-Century Villa

The back yard features a large flagstone deck around a sparkling pool overlooking the golf course. Plus a large private patio off the addition. Every bedroom has a private bath and door to the outside.

Please note: the pool is not fenced or gated. The pool can be heated for an extra $250/day. This is the cost of our propane to heat the pool. Unfortunately, propane is very expensive these days ($5/gallon) and the pool heater can use 50/gallons per day to heat the pool.

Special time in Borrego Springs
Five family members from Seattle, Tuscon and me,from Georgia gathered for Thanksgiving. My husband and I had been to BS twice and just love the area because there is just so much to go and do and see! The house provided all of us everything we needed.

Desert House - Borego Springs
The house is great – spacious, comfortable, and nicely furnished. Unfortunately, maintenance is sorely lacking. We arrived to find a stinky mountain of garbage overflowing the trash bins and no salt, pepper, or cooking oil in the kitchen. A phone call to the owner got us a delivery of the missing kitchen staples, but the garbage problem was never remedied during our entire stay (Friday-Tuesday). In addition, one of the bathrooms adjoining a bedroom had no towels. After a long hunt and several empty linen closets, we found 2 bath towels and a hand towel, but surely a home with a pool should have a better supply of towels. Every day brought discoveries of new problems. The toaster was old and in terrible condition. Many lightbulbs were burned out. Some we changed ourselves with extra bulbs we found in the laundry room, but others were not the right type for the sockets. At least one of the bedrooms had a non-functioning air con vent, no small problem in the desert. One of the bathroom sinks was not draining well, and when we pulled up the stopper to improve the drainage, we found it wrapped with a drain-clogging plug of hair. Yuck. The house has the potential to be a wonderful rental for a group of friends, with several different hang-out areas and plenty of privacy in the bedroom/bathroom set up. It’s a shame it is not better maintained.

Lots of Space
One of the best features of this property is that it has numerous spots Indoors and outside to gather in a small group or to be by yourself for awhile. It is well situated to most sites you will want to visit. Love the mid-century vibe, classy, not kitchy.

It was ideal for three couples. Each had their own bathroom. It was very nice. I would recommend it.

Very spacious, quiet, great location on golf course.
The beds were comfortable, the rooms and living spaces were all spacious. The kitchen was a little tight but manageable. It is in a quiet location with plenty of outdoor space.
