About this property

| The Jungle Bungalow | Downtown Chico |

The Jungle Bungalow was freshly remodeled in 2020, and we're excited to show off the improvements! Marble bathroom tile, fresh paint throughout, fun wallpaper, new kitchenette, and of course a super comfortable new Sealy Memory foam bed - just to name a few.

Loaded with riviera-inspired vibes, this smaller unit of a converted Craftsman Duplex boasts a separate entrance & large outdoor patio with plenty of privacy. Located right downtown - perfect for a traveling couple!
Please note that the Jungle Bungalow is connected to the main home. There are no shared spaces, and you'll enjoy your own private entrance.

Currently we don’t accept pets at this unit.

We unfortunately cannot accommodate early check in or late check out. We need time to clean and prepare the property to our high standards, both for you and for the next guests. Please plan your trip accordingly.
I live in town and am available by phone or text - so don’t hesitate to let me know if you need anything at all!
This charming residential neighborhood is composed of tree-lined streets that will lead you straight to cozy coffee shops, cute boutiques, and a variety of restaurants serving up Mexican, pizza, Thai, Chinese, sushi, classic pub fare, and plenty more (including many tasty vegan options). The CSUC campus located on the other side of downtown, just a 15 minute stroll away.

On sunny days, enjoy the concrete swimming pool located at One Mile, or any of the many creek spots, a few blocks south of the Jungalow. In addition to swimming, Bidwell Park offers plenty of picnic-perfect grassy areas, scenic walking trails, and a must-visit storybook-themed playground for the kiddos.

Grocery (including a natural food store), pharmacy, and convenience stores are all a quick drive away so you can stock up on any essentials for your trip!
Entire house, patio, & fenced yard are yours for your stay.

This Chico Charmer features original oak hardwood floors throughout, and generous bright natural light all day.

In the restroom you’ll find newly installed tile, a specialty 'ring light' mirror & bright bathroom lighting to make the morning routine a breeze.
There are dedicated heating/AC units in each room, as well as a ceiling fan in the living area. High Speed WiFi, Netflix & Hulu are ready to stream on the wall mounted flatscreen.

Take advantage of outdoor living and enjoy your meals on the huge shaded patio at the redwood picnic table —equipped with a disco ball for maximum evening ambiance—or soak up the sun while swinging in the twin hammock chairs.

The queen bed can comfortably sleep two adults, while a third adult or child can sleep on the 7’ living room couch. Extra blankets and pillows are available on the shelf should you need them.

The kitchenette is equipped for both short and long term stays, with plenty of cupboard space and an under-counter refrigerator.

Traveling in a larger group? Check out our other space, the Chico Cabana.
With grocery stores, coffee shops, and plenty of spots to eat nearby, nearly everything you may need during your stay is easily accessible on foot or bike. If you feel like venturing a bit farther, the B-Line bus runs all across town, with the nearest stop right by the Gordo Burrito taco truck - considered the best in town! Traffic in Chico is typically light, but parking downtown can fill up quickly. There are two metered lots and a covered garage, all with waived fares on the weekends! Green Line Cycles on 6th & Main offers bicycle rentals, which is really the best way to explore Chico.

Wonderful place and great location!
We came up to visit our son for parents weekend at Chico and this place was a great alternative to staying at one of the local motels. Will stay again!!

Despite a few hiccups, this was an enjoyable stay. Cool , fun theme. Good price. Slept well on the bed. Think coffee grounds probably need to be replaced and put in airtight container to prolong freshness a bit. 👍
