Only 10 minutes to beautiful Valle Crucis Community Park with access to the Watauga River for swimming and fishing. Rushing creek runs behind the cabin. Western mountain views. New kitchen with farm sink. New appliances. New walk in shower. New soaking tub in one of the bathrooms. Cozy reading area in the small sunroom/office. Cabin is right under 1,000 square feet. Perfect for Appalachian State parents or couples.

Charming Cabin, Great Views!
This fully updated cabin is so charming and cozy! There are updates throughout the bathrooms and kitchen that are beautifully done and the sitting room/office is so cozy (complete with a small loft and a beautiful greenhouse window). We enjoyed the reading nook with fully stocked book shelf and had a family game night one evening with the included board games. The cabin is very clean and is stocked with everything you might need. We loved the location and took multiple trips to nearby attractions in Boone, Blowing Rock, and Valle Crucis (all within 20-30 minutes away). The mountain views from the porch are beautiful and can be enjoyed from all of the front-facing windows. Thankful for the opportunity to spend a long weekend on this beautiful property!

Why they chose this property

First and foremost we love Vilas and its proximity to Boone, Valle Crucis and all the other fun areas. This neighborhood is in a great location but its far enough out that its country too. The best of both worlds.

What makes this property unique

This cabin was lovingly built by a sweet couple that was married 60+ years. The beams are hand hewn.
