Patterson House Adorable Cottage Historic Dixielnd

100 year old craftsman home in Historic Dixieland, walking distance from Lake Hunter. This home is not perfect, but has everything you need at an affordable price. Full bed and bath downstairs. The 3 bedrooms upstairs have steeper steps and slanted ceilings. 2nd and 3rd bedrooms have ac units to assist with FL heat. 4th bedroom only has central air. With its large front porch you'll never want to leave. It is minutes from the Historic Downtown, Colleges, & The Detroit Tiger’s training.
Fully equipped kitchen with everything you need. Washer and dryer. Pack n play and high chair available upon request

Other things to note
Garbage and recycling is picked up from cans in back alley so no need to move them.

Great location
If you are looking for everything being in mint condition, you will likely be disappointed. This is a cottage and for us it was a perfect golf vacation home. Close to great courses and a comfortable place to relax after, especially the large front porch.

Lovely spot
The space was just right for my family! We were visiting family in the area and needed a spot to rest our heads for the days that we were going to be there. The home was clean and easy to find. We were near a lake or pond and didn't get to explore it, but it was a very beautiful neighborhood and would recommend to others!

This property is super cute! The home was very cleanand organized. It is an old home and so not everything is perfect. Some of the closet doors need fixing, but this doesn't affect the stay.

Cozy, charming historical house
We loved our stay at the Patterson House. The house is conveniently located near downtown and the convention center. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed having room to relax together. Would definitely stay again!

Could have been better
We both loved this century old home in a great neighborhood. However we were eaten alive by fleas. If the owner has the back yard sprayed and the huge gross smelly flea infested shag rug removed from the living room then we would give this place 5 stars. We did not see a phone # to call so we googled the realtor and found it. They should provide a phone number. Once we did contact them they were good to work with.

Charming Historic Home
Charming home in historic neighborhood. Had a very comfortable bed downstairs with plenty of closet space. The kitchen was well equipped and the Keurig was appreciated. The location was excellent considering it's proximity to grocery stores and restaurants. Don't forget to check out gourmet bakery "Born & Bread", but google limited hours. Your waistline will NOT thank me! Thanks so much for a delightful stay!!!!

We were in Lakeland for a conference at Florida Southern. This was a great location for our purposes. Closing the bedroom doors helped conserve the cool air (and the extra units helped, too). If there's a way to reduce the beds' squeaking (tighten the frames? WD 40?) that would help the light sleepers not know about every move. We'd stay here again, with gratitude.

Wedding Weekend
Emory was great to communicate and helped us get into the property alittle earlier than the regular check in time. The house is very cute and looks like it does in the pics. The downside for us was that the silverware and a lot of the dishes in the cupboards and drawers were visibly dirty. The carpeted steps leading upstairs were really dirty and matted and the top step is very short and dangerous. We all almost slipped down the stairs on this step. I’ve already communicated all of this to Emory and he said it would all be taken care of (assumably after our stay)-Also the upstairs shower was dripping into the laundry room when used-again, reported to the host. We had a great time as a family overall but these things do need to be addressed…especially the dangerous step.

Lovely Lakeland Landing pad!
Conveniently located, nice area to walk around in a diverse neighborhood. Spent good time on the front porch and the porch swim was enjoyed by the whole family. Could use a chef’s knife in the kitchen, and maybe a few more bath towels (luckily we brought our own), but other than that, all was well. House is a bit older and beds a bit squeaky , but had all we needed for a comfortable stay overall. Thank you, Emory!

Cute cottage
The house has plenty of space and everything we needed for a short weekend stay. We found the house in a neat and tidy condition on arrival. We were in Lakeland to move my son to college and did not spend much time in the house, but it made for a comfortable base and place for us to sleep while getting him situated in the dorm. The house is older and comes with the charm and challenges of an older home but met all of our needs just fine. The beds were comfortable, but I will note the upstairs beds are metal and a bit squeeky when you move around. The downstairs bed was nice and quiet. We enjoyed the front porch swing, the small office with a desk off of the living room and quiet neighborhood.

Needs attention to details
House was ok in a quiet area. Kitchen not well equipped. Had to go buy a can opener and only one small sharp knife was found. Washing machine agitator did not work and machine would not automatically go into to final spin cycle. Outside decks were full of leaves and patio furniture was in disrepair. Host needs to spend more attention to details. Would probably not stay here again.

This property was adequate. The beds were comfortable and clean. However the overall feel was not homey. The carpet going up the stairs was dirty as was the rug in the bathroom. The shower floor grout in the shower upstairs was stained, a rip in the couch and no pictures or anything homey on walls. Some blinds did not function. The overall cleanliness of this place was lacking. This property could be very cute with some extra attention. Plenty of shower amenities but even the towels and wash clothes were well used and some with rough edges. We would not recommend this place.

Great stay in Dixieland
Property was a charming house right by the lake. Only complaint was the lack of soap in one of the bathrooms & we could have used more washcloths/towels. Property owner was very responsive!
