Cozy Lake Cabin

This rental is located adjacent to Honey Creek Park at Lake Rathbun in southern Iowa. It’s less than 5 minutes from two boat ramps. The Rathbun area is known for its great hunting and fishing. There are plenty of areas to swim at the lake one is within walking distance from the cabin. If you don’t feel like grilling at the cabin there’s a nice restaurant/bar within a ten minute drive. If you feel like hiking in the woods there’s plenty of trails right next door at the park.

This open floor plan cabin sleeps a maximum of four. It boasts a full kitchen with all the kitchen supplies you’ll need, 3/4 bath with wash clothes and towels, and a garage to park your boat or vehicle. You will find a binder on the kitchen table when you arrive that will help get you familiar with the cabin. We hope it helps you enjoy your stay.

The absolute maximum number of occupants allowed to stay or be at The Cozy Cabin is four. This home is not equipped to handle large groups. Please help us be prepared for cleaning by declaring the correct number of people staying in the cabin in your reservation. Anyone who exceeds to maximum occupancy will be blocked from being able to book the cabin in the future and faces potential added fees for breaking house rules.

Nice place!
Clean and big enough for a pleasant stay. The kitchen and bathroom was well supplied with amenities. Propane grill and fire pit were nice additions.

Cozy & Comfortable - Beautiful Area
This cozy cabin was a perfect fit for our family plus we loved including our dog on the trip. Everything about the cabin was comfortable and convenient. The kitchen included everything we needed for making meals. The yard is very spacious and we enjoyed morning walks to the lake right from the property. For a longer day at the lake we loaded up all our supplies and it was only a 2 minute drive into the state park. The entire area is beautiful for a family to enjoy time in nature and we will definitely be back.

Great stay!
We really enjoyed our stay and the owner was great to work with on answering any questions we had. Our 5 and 7 year old girls also had a great time seeing the deer around and seeing shooting stars in the evening by the fire. Propane for grill and fire wood for the fire pit was provided, which made things much easier than bringing ourselves. It was a nice relaxing get away for us.

Cozy cabin was just that. Just right for my husband and I for a little fishing trip get a way! We grilled and enjoyed quiet time at the cabin after long days fishing. Perfect location from the boat ramp! Great communication when we had questions.
