Excellent stay!
We enjoyed our short getaway, and are already talking about planning our next stay! It was absolutely beautiful and the views from the deck were breathtaking. I enjoyed making dinner outside, and looking at the river, mountains, and sky. The water was so clear you could see fish from the back porch, which is a distance from the river. We spotted a curious armadillo on the banks. The front yard area and the back deck felt magical with the string lights, hearing the birds chirp and watching the squirrels jump from tree to tree. Todd was an excellent host and has thought of everything! The outdoor bath house was spectacular. You definitely will want to stay! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Our family of 4 loves spending time in Arkansas hiking, swimming, and enjoying the Ouachita Mountains. Thunder Mountain River Cabin is where we go to escape from normal life. The cabin calendar fills up fast, so between cabin bookings we rent the property to campers. Campers get all the amenities of the property (Bathhouse, trails, kayaks, grills, firepits, etc.) but can have a shorter stay and don't pay the higher price for the cabin.

Why they chose this property

We love the fact that at our property, we rarely see any other humans! You will enjoy the property all by yourselves! The cabin will be vacant during your stay so you can camp anywhere around the cabin, on the decks, or down by the river. The unique outdoor bathhouse overlooks the river below. While bathing, you can enjoy being exposed to nature without being exposed to neighbors because the property extends far across the river in all directions.

What makes this property unique

There is a variety of wildlife in the area. Deer, fox, rabbits, and raccoons are common. Otters, beaver, and eagles are also regular visitors. Occasionally a guest will spot one of our local black bears who live on the taller mountain across the river. They will explore our property occasionally but have never caused anyone any issues and usually avoid humans (They're more afraid of you!). As far as we know, our cabin is the most secluded river cabin of any in the area. Enjoy being close to nature and getting away from it all!
