The pictures don’t do this place justice. Very comfortable and clean and the views out back are amazing. The owner was very communicative from the start and left us a hand written note welcoming us to the property. The drive out to the house has incredible. Very close to a lot of trailheads and the national forests in the area. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a place to stay in the Dolores area.
This was a perfect house to stay in. Charming, awesome location, clean, and remote. Jeanne was so accommodating and concerned for our comforts.
I hope we can find an opportunity to stay here again!
It is a working ranch with cattle and baling activities, neither of which interrupted our stay at all. The views from the house are very pretty, typical of CO and the property borders the river. It was warm when we went and the house doesn’t have AC (typical of a lot of CO). So, it didn’t cool down until late. The property does border a fairly busy road, so having the windows open was a little noisy at times throughout the night. When they asked how we slept, they offered us fans which both 1) cooled the place down and 2) we no longer heard the passing cars. We slept much better the second night. Overall, it is very quaint with good access to town, hiking and fishing spots. Everyone we encountered was very nice, polite and seemed to really care about our stay. We enjoyed seeing mule deer cross the property on one evening and elk in the same area the next morning. My family really enjoyed our stay there!
