If you have a early morning ✈️ the host is very reluctant to let you check in early. The reason people rent homes 🏡 is to have the space and convenience. Hotel you can't check in until 4:00. You would think if you are renting a home the owner would be more flexible. It was -14 degrees un Kansas City and wanted to get inside from rhe freezing 🥶 temperatures. I asked for early checkin as we were on out way to a hotel. The host wouldn't respond then asked how early as if a couple of hours would make a difference when the fee went up after I hit submit. I inquired about it and was told the price varies by the time of year, but that was not on the listing. The listing show 4 beds in the 3rd bedroom with the bunkbed but only has a bunkbed with a trundle underneath. There were no curtains on any of the windows but brackets I believe she came and took the curtains down when I asked her the day before my arrival if the heat was on and if the water was working because in -14 degrees up north pipes freeze if the water is not left running a little. I was told we could not use the fireplace even though the listing did not have restrictions regarding the fireplace. We were so cold you could feel the air comming through the windows. The thermostat would not go any higher than 76 because it is a smart thermostat and the app is set to not go any higher than 76. I was told only one car could be parked in the driveway but the listing didn't have any parking restrictions. The oven was dirty, the sink was dirty like the workers had poured paint down the garbage disposal side. I had to scrub it with bleach. There were crumbs on the dining room table and kitchen counter. There was one dirty face towel in the master bathroom linencloset, no face towels in the linen closet and a dirty facedown in the washer . We had to go to Wal-Mart and buy things The garage and the basement was locked. As it was too cold outside for the children to go out and play we had plans to do things downtown when the trip was planned in October but it was too cold. We could not let the children play in the garage or basement. I was told they were being used for storage. The listing doesn't specify that the garage and basement was off limits. Also in -14 degrees it would have been nice to Park a couple of the cars in the garage I was threatened 800 cleaning fee if though a party. I was told to put out the trash, strip the beds, start first load of towels. She is paid to do that
