My vacation home is your new vacation home! Great Location in the Laurel Park section of Historic Downtown Sarasota! Short 10min. walk to downtown restaurants, Selby Gardens, Sarasota Art Museum, galleries, theaters, the marina, Publix supermarket, Payne Park, and city and county government buildings. Easy 20-30min. bike ride to St. Armands Circle, Lido Key, Lido Beach, Mote Aquarium and Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Short 15min. drive to Siesta Key Beach, Longboat Key Beach, Ringling College, and the Sarasota-Bradenton Int'l. airport.
Comfortably furnished and ready for exploring that downtown lifestyle! The entire duplex has been updated with a new roof, new fiberglass doors and windows, new screened-in lanais, new fenced-in backyard, new plumbing, new electric, new appliances, new furniture, new furnishings (including Casper memory foam beds with allergen blocking mattress pads and pillow covers). New kitchen boasts Quartz countertops, deep sink, souble oven, and soft-close cabinetry. Bedroom closets are good-sized. Wall-mounted 57" Samsung QLED flat screen tv is brand new. Owner likes to cook so there are heavy duty pots and pans, storage containers (including foil, wrap, paper), Keurig machine, electric tea kettle, Instant Hot Pot, blender, cooking utensils are recent purchases and made of non-toxic materials. Nest thermostat, Ring Doorbell Camera and Schlage keypad offer security. Shared, padlocked shed for beach gear is in the carport. Bicycles can be locked up under the covered porch in the backyard. Unit has its own garbage and recycling receptacles. One covered parking space and one driveway parking space is included. Street parking is available on first-come, first-serve basis.
Outside there is a screened lanai with new patio table and chairs and the laundry room with newer hot-water heater, a deep sink and brand new front-loading stacked washer/dryer. Weber propane grill is available for use. The backyard was redone in 2020 with a fire pit and new plantings and new grass. The lawnmowers come every other Thurs or Fri so any leash stakes will need to be lifted. Maximum number of pets allowed cannot exceed 50lbs. A handyman lives just a few houses away for when the need arises. Full disclosure - this duplex is one street over from busy Washington Blvd and the traffic noise is noticeable during the day and is discernible at night, especially if you enjoy sleeping with the windows open. The noise is barely discernible in the backyard. This is not considered a “quiet” property. This property is prefect for extended stays.

Nice area, nice place, great owners.
This location came with everything we needed even down to the smallest things in the kitchen. We had minor difficulties with the A/C but the owner was on top of it and even refunded us a bit for the minor inconvenience. Would recommend.

Comfortable House in a Great Location
We could not have found a better location to stay for our first time in Sarasota! Laurel Park is a lovely neighborhood to explore, and we could walk to downtown, restaurants, the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, and the Saturday Farmers Market in less than 15 minutes, and to the Bayside Park in less than 20. The house is a block from a major street (Washington Blvd) but seemed quiet, and it turned out to be very convenient to be close to the Tamiami Trail for an easy drive to stores and restaurants. The house was nicely decorated and you could tell that the owners cared and put a lot of thought into providing everything we would need, and we also appreciated how easy it was to communicate with them and how responsive they were. The bed and two living room sofas were very comfortable, there was a large TV (with Xfinity cable) and gas grill, and we really enjoyed spending time outdoors reading either on the lanai or in the pretty back yard. Hope to come back sometime soon!
