We had a wonderful stay in this Wellfleet house at the start of this past summer.
We loved the house and the location, with a bayside view of the water from the living room and about a three minute walk to the nearest beach (which also turned out to be THE beach with the best sunsets. We often watched them, drinks in hand, seagulls flying above).
We loved the quiet and privacy of the house, as well, with a well-kept lawn surrounded by gorgeous hydrangea bushes and trees providing both shady and sunny areas, and plenty of space for outdoor picnics and fun.
The house itself was spacious, sunny, comfortable, clean and bright, with attractive modern furnishings and plenty of helpful information on where to go and what to do.
The kitchen was well-equipped and served all our needs well. We especially liked the master bedroom, with it's comfortable bed, spacious closet and curtained sliding glass doors.
And we appreciated having a laundry room with a washer and drier downstairs, as well as an additional bathroom — with a bathtub! (which I can't do without).
The location was also ideal — five minutes away from wonderful seafood restaurants, and even a French bakery and bistro, PB Boulangerie (owned by an actual Frenchman), and only a 15-minutes from several magnificent oceanside beaches with broad expanses of sand to walk along and lots of surf, blue skies and ocean air to allow us commune with nature recoup our energies.
There were also some wonderful walking paths nearby as well as a nature preserve we loved visiting. And when the tide was out we were told we could actually walk along the bayside to the center of Wellfleet (although we didn't actually do this, as it was such a short drive into town, where we did our grocery shopping, when we weren't eating out).
All in all, we had a wonderful stay. We know we'll return, and while we'd like to keep this place a secret, we know that it wouldn't be fair to do so. We highly recommend it.
