This 3BR/2BA beach cottage is the ultimate abode for a comfortable and relaxing stay in sunny Ventura. Slip away from the real world on a private patio with lush gardens, knowing all the while you're only four houses from beautiful Ventura Beach.

INSIDE THE HOUSE

Step inside to a serene and sunlit Nantucket-style beach cottage with glowing hardwood floors.

The airy living room has a six-person gray sectional with ample seating around a 54in TV and a gas fireplace. Blue walls recall the ocean, skylights let the California sun in, and a jute area rug adds to the beachy feel.

A white wooden dining table seats four below an elegant chandelier, with the newly remodeled kitchen just beyond. White cabinets offer plenty of storage, and new appliances include a dishwasher, gas range, and a French-door fridge. The white tile backsplash adds to the fresh beachy vibe. Laundry facilities are located at the back of the kitchen.

The first bedroom has two twin beds and an adorable boat theme. An en-suite bathroom has blue walls and white wainscoting with a walk-in shower. The second bedroom has a king bed with botanical linens, a double-door mirrored closet, a bureau, and a sitting chair. Sliding double doors lead to the third bedroom, furnished with a full-size bed, a comfy couch, and a 22in TV. Another door leads out to the kitchen. A roomy full bathroom in the hall has a tub/shower combination.

The backyard is a refreshing private oasis. The patio is bursting with gorgeous gardens, and lounge chairs offer a place to relax and soak up some rays. Have dinner outdoors at a dining table for six -- the grill is nearby, and if it gets chilly, there's a heater to warm things up.

The City of Ventura requires a minimum stay of seven nights for all vacation rentals during the period beginning on the second Friday in June and ending with the last Friday in August.

With the beach steps from your door and the grocery store an easy bike trip away, this quintessential California beach cottage makes your SoCal vacation as carefree as it should be. Take a deep-sea fishing day trip with Ventura Sport Fishing, 1 mile away, or fish off the local pier (supplies are available at Eric's Tackle Shop, 0.9 miles away).

Visit the quaint towns of Ojai or Santa Barbara within a 30-minute drive, or stay local and explore downtown Ventura, accessible via the trolley or a 5-minute drive. There's much to be had right in the neighborhood, too. Find caffeine concoctions galore at Kay's (1 block away), delicious Thai at Lucky Thai (2 blocks away), and authentic Italian dishes at Spasso Cucina.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting "Yes" to pets. No more dogs are allowed.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
