About this property

Modern Farmhouse near Dollywood with record player

Fall in love as you are embraced by a classic 1860 Farmhouse with modern amenities. You'll be welcome into a bright sunroom with it's own kitchenette leading into a second fully stocked kitchen. From there you'll enter a classically tasteful dining room. Venturing further a warm living room awaits you with a record player, smart TV and chess board for entertainment. There are two full bathrooms and 3 spacious, uniquely designed bedrooms with plush King sized beds for a restorative rest.

Built in 1860 this piece of history makes it 1800 square feet of rest, relaxation, and restoration for you. Note that this listing is for the three bedroom, two full bathroom Farmhouse. The one bedroom, one bathroom cottage behind it will be a separate listing.

As evening closes, enjoy stargazing by the fire pit near the apple trees. Serene surroundings make it an ideal space to enjoy warm company with friends. This farmhouse is secluded enough for a getaway while being accessible to all the shops and attractions your heart desires.

For basic grocery and hygienic needs Food City, Walgreens, Subways, and gas stations are all within 4 miles of the house. You’ll be in downtown Sevierville in a 9 mike car ride. Along the route you can stop by a Walmart Neighborhood Market and pass by numerous fast-food options.

Want to get some shopping in? The Farmhouse is a convenient 12 mile drive from Tanger Outlet Mall and Super Walmart.

If you prefer backpacking through natures finest trails, it’s just 12 miles through Gatlinburg to the gorgeous Smoky Mountains National Park. Whatever you choose to do, you’re bound to create beautiful memories beckoning you back to the charming and cozy farmhouse experience.

Things to note during the spring and summer seasons.
We do routine (monthly) pest control around the property, but you are on a farm, so there may be occasional bugs sightings during your stay.

Please note: Surveillance cameras are outside and recording 24 hours a day to ensure the home does not incur damage. (there is one on the front porch of the cottage, one in the walkway leading to the cottage, one on the front porch of the farmhouse, and one at the entry door of sunroom to the farmhouse facing the driveway).

HOT TUB: is a shared amenity. Due to high energy costs, the hot tub will be off upon arrival. If you wish to use it, please plan accordingly. It will take about 2 to 3 hours to warm up. Once you are done, please turn it off.

Guests may access the entire Farmhouse and patio, apple trees, and the entire acre of land (Note that these spaces may be shared with guests staying in the cottage). Wifi is provided for quick work or entertainment needs.

There are shared spaces with cottage guests that may be on the property.

Historic Dream Home
This place is amazing. This is like staying in a piece of history. The updates are perfectly matched with the historical aspects of the home. Beautifully done. Perfect distance to all the touristy stuff but far enough out to be nice and quiet. We will be back! If you ever want to sell, let us know! :)

Historic Home
Overall we enjoyed our visit to this historic home! We enjoyed wandering the house and trying to decipher when each section was added and how the Civil War bullet hole made it into an interior door. We wanted to know more about the history! Spent our mornings in the sunroom/part kitchen which was lovely. Bedrooms were all large with king beds which made everyone happy. A lot of thought went into the decor of this home. Something to note that we may have missed in the listing is that both bathrooms are downstairs so those staying in the bedrooms upstairs had to adjust for that. We took off a star because of the functionality of the kitchen for us. We did not plan to cook much but the fridge is in the sunroom and the range in the official kitchen is in the adjacent room. There is very limited counter and cabinet space so we ended up using a cabinet and surface in the dining room. But, those are the quirks of an old home! The hosts provided plenty of supplies too. Dish soap, sponges, washer detergent, shampoo, etc which was very generous. Another note which is mentioned on the listing is that there is a cottage that is also rented on property. The cottages porch is arms length away in the back of the house behind the kitchen. There was a renter and guests while we were there and it was not a problem but we did not realize the cottage was quite that close so just an FYI. Lastly it was about 20 min to Dollywood and 40 min to the Smoky Mountain National park which was great!

My wife, Jasmine, and I both love helping people. Jasmine works in the medical field helping people physically, while I have experience counseling youth and young adults. I've worked with teens and enjoy helping people realize their potential. We both hold in high regard spiritual, mental, emotional, relational, and physical health. Part of those elements are bound up in the places we immerse ourselves in. This is why spaces play a vital role in our overall health in getting well rested for the days activities. We have been married for 10 years, have an 8 year-old Chocolate Lab, two Netherland dwarf bunnies, and a sweet 1 year-old.

Why they chose this property

This property has a rich history. Since 1860 this home has seen numerous lives come and go. It continues to be a place where stories are written as people come and find rest and relaxation and a getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. It's accessible to many attractions to the area like Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and the Smokie Mountains. This home is a unique historical experience of Sevierville and we'd love to share it with you.

What makes this property unique

The farmhouse takes you to another time and place. It feels like time stood still here and it will transport you to times when things were more thoroughly enjoyed. Walking through the home, you can feel the history in the walls. It's a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life to a time when things were slower and life was savored.
