Our newly renovated home is perfect for groups and families looking for a comfortable and stylish stay in Atlanta. Our home features 3 living rooms, 2 dining areas, as well as a large patio and backyard for our guests to enjoy. The expertly designed space features lots of style, technology, and comfort that make our home unique. Even though our home is on a quiet and tree filled neighborhood, we are only 5-10 minutes from downtown, 20 minutes from the airport, and 10 min to Six Flags.

Our historic Southwest Atlanta home was completely renovated and designed from the ground up to be the perfect place to call home for your stay in Atlanta. Our home features 4 bedrooms (with 3 full bathrooms) and multiple living room areas so your group/family has plenty of space to relax in. We’ve also added lots of style and technology throughout the home like HD smart TVs (Netflix, VEVO, Disney Plus), Gword Nest Minis, an even record player with a ton of records. Our fully stocked kitchen includes everything you need to cook a feast and large dining room table with enough seating for 8 (the table in the kitchen has seating for an additional 4).

Outdoor Space: The patio located in the back yard has lots of seating and string lights to use at night. We suggest enjoying a meal or beverage outside since the weather in Atlanta is nice most of the year. Feel free to bring a croquet set or a ball to throw around. We also have a 5 burner gas grill you can use to grill out.

Parking: Our driveway has space for four visitors. Additional cars will have no trouble finding free street parking.

Our home features two 55-inch HD Smart TVs in each of the two living rooms. There are also 3 HD Smart TVs in 3 of the bedrooms. All the Smart TVs have Roku and are signed into Netflix, HBOMax, and Disney+. Guests can also log into their own streaming services via the Roku interface.

You will have access to the entire home except for the storage sheds in the back yard and the unfinished basement.

We live down the street and can be contacted through the airbnb app or our cell phones.

In the tumultuous last decade before the Supreme Court ended Jim Crow segregation, Collier Heights became a virtual Who’s Who of black Atlanta. Residents included the Reverend and Mrs. Martin Luther King Sr., bank president Lorimer D. Milton, civil rights attorney Donald B. Hollowell, Grady Hospital medical director Dr. Asa G. Yancey, and Georgia congressmen Leroy R. Johnson and Billy McKinney (not to mention his daughter Cynthia). The neighborhood is also known for its large houses and relatively large lots compared to surrounding neighborhoods. Since our home is located so close to I20 and 285, we are a short drive away from the downtown, midtown, Buckhead and the airport. We are 5.5 miles away from six flags.

Our home is located 1.5 miles from Hunter E Holmes Marta station. The Atlanta university Center is located 6 miles away, and downtown Atlanta is about 10 minutes away. Uber and Lyfts are cheap because we are super close to most of everything you want to do in Atlanta.

***Accurate guest count is required by Airbnb, the City of Atlanta STR Ordinance, and our insurance. Please make sure when you book the house you enter the correct number of guests including all those that will be staying overnight or visiting. For example, if you plan on 6 people staying overnight and 2 people visiting during the day, the guest count is 8 people. If you have questions about this policy, please send us a message before you book.
City of Atlanta Short Term Rental Operating License Rules

1. It is unlawful to allow or make any noise or sound that exceeds the limits set forth in the City's noise ordinance City code Sec. 74-131). Be considerate of the neighborhood and your neighbor’s right to the quiet enjoyment of their home and property. Quiet hours start at 9 PM.

2. The maximum occupancy of this short-term rental unit is 2 adults per bedroom.

3. __5__parking spaces are available at this property. Do not park on lawns or in a manner which blocks driveways, sidewalks, alleys, or mailboxes. Drive slowly through neighborhoods and watch for pedestrians and children playing.

4. Any violations may result in immediate termination of the agreement and eviction from the short-term rental unit by the owner or STR agent, as well as the potential liability for payments of fines levied by the city.

5. Please make sure the number of guests in your reservation is accurate. A guest is defined as any person who visits the property for at least 5 minutes. Additional visitors not included in the reservation must be approved in advance by host. Unapproved guests are subject to a $50 fee per person and/or immediate cancelation of remainder of reservation without refund.

6. Guests must provide an unaltered copy of their Driver's License or Passport to host through Airbnb message thread within 24 hours after booking so we can independently confirm your identity and finalize your reservation.

7. Events, weddings, parties, commercial video, and photography are prohibited unless approved prior to check in. If you have any questions, please reach out to us and explain what you are trying to do, and we can determine if it’s possible to host your event. Good communication is key.

8.SMOKING IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. $500 smoking fee. If you smoke outside, please dispose of your smoking related trash.

9. Please remove makeup before getting in the beds. We provide makeup wipes and hand towels. If sheets or linens are stained, we will have to charge to replace.

10. No matter what the package says, flushable wipes or anything besides toilet paper and human waste should never be flushed down toilets.

11. Please do not use adhesives or tape to attach decorations to wall or use glitter or confetti. Our cleaning team will charge an additional $100 if they have to clean glitter or confetti.

12. Our cleaning team charges a $350 biohazard cleaning fee if they have to clean up vomit, blood, or any other bodily fluid.

13. We provide a gas grill, but guests are responsible for providing their own propane and cleaning the grill after each use. If the propane tank is empty, you can exchange the tank at local gas stations between $20 and $25.

It was a quite area but when driving into the community I could tell it was the hood. However; it was very quite the house was clean but there could have been some improvements, curtains in master en suite could stand a washing. The Host was very nice and beyond.

I attended the University for Georgia (Go Dawgs!!!) and the University of Virginia to study Finance and Accounting. After graduating from UVA in 2011, I moved to Atlanta to work for Ernst and Young (EY) as an external auditor. After 4 years at EY, I joined the Internal Audit team at SunTrust (Truist). Shortly after moving to Atlanta, I met my wife Kate after a GA/FL game in St. Simons. Kate and I have been hosts since 2015 when we started renting out our spare bedroom. That led to us remodeling and designing basement to be rented full time. Eventually we started designing homes and vacation properties for friends and family. In 2018, we started Host this Home to pursue our passion for creating and managing amazing and unique spaces full-time. In 2021, I joined the newly formed Atlanta Metro Area Short Term Rental Association as Treasurer to help preserve Atlanta’s vibrant short term rental community through advocacy and education.
