The house was gorgeous, but communicating with management was a very frustrating experience
In addition to the trouble with management, we had several more problems with the house during our stay.
Due to our flight schedule, I had to contact Aimee to shorten our stay after we booked our dates. It took several months and attempts to reach her to hear back, and when she finally updated the booking, the nightly rate went up significantly. Aimee kept assuring me that I would get a refund but it never happened. I eventually had to contact VRBO directly for my refund after the trip was over.
The night we arrived we were quite late due to delayed flights, but Aimee had provided the key code and check in instructions. She assured me the late arrival would not be an issue. Well our code did not work. We were stranded outside at 3am with an incorrect code and no response from management. VRBO was eventually able to get through to Aimee after 45 minutes and she remotely unlocked the door. There was definitely a mistake made here, but Aimee claims that the code was right all along.
There were quite a few issues with the house itself that character limit will not allow me to address in full. Not enough towels, blender and ice maker both broken, no plug for the sink, couch was broken, etc. The front door lock gave us more trouble. The carpet had been replaced on the second level which was nice, but overall the home could have been cleaner.
We had to pay a fee to access the resort pool/gym, which was unexpected.
Aside from the issues I mentioned, the house suited our needs.
