Beautiful home full of thoughtful amenities!
From check in to check out, staying at Sierra Tree Haus made our trip to LA easy. It was wonderful to have a comfortable “home base” where we could unwind and relax after a busy day. There were so many thoughtful touches, such as lap blankets to cozy up with on a super comfy couch while watching any of our streaming services on a huge TV. The bedrooms had smart TVs as well. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to cook dinner on the gas stove or toast bagels for breakfast. It even has a huge selection of k-cups with a Keurig, a rack full of spices and all the utensils you could possibly need. The bedrooms were all a good size, with special touches like plenty of hangers in generous sized closets and a work area with desk and office chair. The beds were wonderful. We slept better while we were there than we do at home! The super soft sheets and fluffy comforters were dreamy. Being able to park in the garage instead of having to find on street parking was so helpful. It was raining most of the time we stayed at Sierra Tree Haus, so being able to unload suitcases and groceries in a nice dry garage was very much appreciated. One of the greatest things about this house is the views! At night the lights of LA twinkle in the distance. You can see the skyline from the back deck and a couple of the bedrooms. The deck has plenty of seating and a cool fire table. We have already recommended this home to friends and family!

Perfect Location for a CA Retreat
Loved loved the location of this rental! It was a quiet neighborhood that felt safe for kids and families. Had a playground and the hiking trail (not for the faint of heart) within walking distance, but our favorite part was the local diner just down the stairs! A fun way to experience California outside the hustle of a downtown area like LA. Is also very close to a cute Main Street shopping/dining area, the beautiful LA Arboretum and Zoo, and a number of natural areas to explore. The house itself was clean and well stocked on kitchen needs (including plates/cups/utensils for toddlers which was perfect for us!). The area is quiet, so sleep is peaceful and, in the right weather, one could even sleep with the windows open. If you can plan for a single car, that would be ideal, but we managed to shuffle two without much hassle. The host was very easy to communicate with. We had a few general maintenance things come up (nothing unexpected for an older home) and Elle was always quick to respond and even coordinated getting a plumber out to help unclog the kitchen sink (please stop pouring coffee grounds down your sink drains! The next people to stay are the ones who suffer.) Overall, a great experience, would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet getaway and we would definitely stay again. Especially for that lovely neighborhood diner!

Wonderful canyon retreat
Perfect stay for our family. Though you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere, everything was nearby and accessible (even Amazon and Uber Eats deliver). Beautiful city lights views, extra comfy beds, and Nest central air. Well equipped home with everything we needed. Extra bonus for parking in the garage. Sierra Madre is a magical town and Elle made it wonderful for us. We were in between homes while moving to Sierra Madre, and we will definitely be renting out Elle's place for when our family comes to visit.
