Quiet, pet friendly, getaway location, set on a rural 3 acre lot, located approximately 15-20 mins to Lawrence, Topeka, Clinton Lake and Perry Lake. Fully furnished, 3 bed, 2 full bath, and finished basement with futon for extra sleeping, hot tub, Internet, cable tv, water softener, RO drinking system, outside ramp for assisted access, and lots of space for private use or intimate gatherings. Empty gun safe to lock up valuables. Great location for KU Basketball, Heartland Speedway, Country Stampede, graduations, family gatherings, holidays, etc. Plenty of open parking for multiple cars or large trailers. Located in a rural area, it is a safe and secure location. Above the garage door is a Ring security camera, but is the only camera in the house. There is an additional 2 bay, 1200 sqft, heated, insulated, workshop available upon request for extra parking or dry storage, and a 1000 sqft fenced dog-run that is open to use. Optional fee for use of workshop is $15 per day. Charge will be added after booking.

We loved this property! It was secluded enough that we got to enjoy plenty of privacy but close enough to the nearest town so we could get things for our stay at a moments notice!

Christmas gathering
We enjoyed this for our little getaway to be all together for Christmas weekend. It was freezing outside but we were toasty warm using the wood burning stove. Host was quick to reply to some questions I had. Kitchen was well stocked. Comfortable beds and set up. Highly recommend!

Great home for staying near Topeka with dogs
Gabel was very easy to work with during this short stay. We have family in the Topeka area and this home was ideal. Excellent amenities and location for your "fur" family. The house was immaculate - Gable is definitely a Marine. We would definitely come back again on the next trip to KS.

Holiday Family Time
Property owner was excellent to work with as we were traveling quite a distance for the holiday visit with our children. I was able to make a home cooked meal, lots of room for our pup to run and plenty of TVs to enjoy those holiday sports. It was quiet, yet close enough to town to enjoy Lawrence activities. Sleeping great- bedrooms with comfortable beds and a wonderful shower. Great stay!

Great house and property close to Lawrence
We needed a pet-friendly place for our family to stay during our trip to Lawrence for a KU bball game. Gable was so easy to communicate with, the house was clean, well-stocked with anything we may have needed, and the property was beautiful (in a very peaceful and quiet rural area.) Our dogs had a blast running around outside. We didn't have the opportunity to use the hot tub, but it's a great amenity to have. I would definitely recommend Gable and his property to anyone looking for a nice escape.

Quiet getaway
Nice, relaxing atmosphere. Huge yard to walk about and enjoy the smell of the outdoors. Location was perfect for a quiet getaway. Would definitely recommend and we hope to stay again in the future.

Outstanding host, fabulous property
Stayed here with friends and our show dogs. Being able to use the garage and shop to house the vans with the dogs at night was perfect. The house is very nice and had everything we needed. The hot tub was icing on the cake. It is a quiet location and was perfect for our needs. The host was super responsive. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I am a retired Marine Corps Vet. and have lived in the are for about 7 years. With both of my kids off to college, it is finally time for me to return to my home state of Oregon. I am looking forward to returning to family and old friends.

Why they chose this property

Although, I am excited to return to Oregon, I am also sad to leave this wonderful home. set on a small 3 acre lot, it offers so much more. Located 15 miles between Lawrence and Topeka, and approx 1 hour from Kansas City, it is a prime location to what Kansas has to offer. With the amenities of medium size towns, it maintains the rural, country feel. Weather it is drinking coffee on the patio watching the sunrise, relaxing in the hot tub underneath the stars, or listening to the natural sounds of nature.

What makes this property unique

Being centrally located in eastern Kansas, there are serval annual events that make it easy to attend, such as KU Basketball, the annual Baldwin City Maple Leaf Festival, the Country Stampede, Lake events, etc., it provides plenty of space to bring the whole family and large toys. One of the hidden gems is that it is close to Woodridge Park that has a 4.25 mile secluded walking trail along the western shore of Clinton Lake.
