About this property

Casa Rosa - Historic Bungalow close to University

Casa Rosa is a charming, historic home built in 1928. Original features like the wooden floors, windows, and arches add to its character and modern upgrades make it for a great mix of old and new.

The neighborhood surrounding the house consists of historic homes and casitas with a lot of character and color. The University of Arizona is right around the corner, as are countless restaurants and bars!

With such a central location, nothing is too far. The Tucson Mountains are about a 15 minute drive west, as are the Catalina Mountains to the north.

Great Tucson Stay
We really enjoyed our stay as the house was generally well equipped. Although the oven doesn't work, the owner was kind enough to provide a barbecue which was very convenient for cooking for our group of 5 as we made most of our meals. The location was easy to find and in a nice, quiet neighbourhood. As the weather was cool, we did not spend much time in the backyard or patio but it was nicely equipped for warmer weather.

Great stay at great location
It's our 2nd stay at Casa Rosa and again the house was very clean, nicely decorated, and had thoughtful additions like hot chocolate and snacks. Perfect for 4 adults visiting the University!

Historic beauty
Casa Rosa is a beautifully decorated historic home very near the University. Plenty of room for 3 adults, very clean, nicely equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and lots of little extras like books and hiking/restaurant guides. We really enjoyed coffee on the back patio in the morning and a nice walk around the neighborhood. Would definitely stay here again.

We are Katja & Sebastian, a German / American couple traveling the world and renting our house while we do so. We have put so much love and work into this historic home, trying our best to honor its history while adding modern design features. Sebastian, growing up as the son of a carpenter, has custom built most of the furniture, adding to the unique feel of the home. Katja, the daughter of an artist, appreciates textures and colors while keeping the design minimal, creating a modern yet cozy interior. We really hope you choose to stay in Casa Rosa and can experience all it has to offer!
