About this property

The Hummingbird Treehouse

If you're searching for a unique place to stay, this is it! You won't have to sacrifice any comfort. You'll have all the comforts of home while enjoying a fun glamping experience. You'll have the following amenities: Heat/Air, modern bathroom, mini-refrigerator, microwave, swings, hammocks, horse-shoes, corn-hole, and more.

A second treehouse is located 50 yards away with separate fire-pit areas and parking.

The treehouse is located in a heavily wooded and remote area, although it's only 8 miles from town.

The Hummingbird treehouse is 150 square feet. It is a single room with a queen size Murphy bed on the main floor and has a full size mattress located in the loft. The bathroom has a sliding barn door and has a walk-in shower.

There is a gorgeous stained glass window above the queen bed, red cedar walls and ceilings that smell heavenly, and a large cedar balcony where you can enjoy bird watching while sipping on a cup of hot coffee.

Guests have access to their own parking and camping area. The camping area includes a picnic table, fire-pit, charcoal grill, hammocks, swings, outdoor games, and a small nature trail.

Guests are provided with:
~firewood
~charcoal
~lighter fluid

We can either arrange to meet you in order to escort you out to the Treesort, or we can send you a map link the morning of your arrival.

Keep in mind that the Treesort is located down some winding gravel roads with sharp corners and hills. Be sure to stay on your side of the road and keep a close eye out for oncoming vehicles.

We are available for our guests, but we do want to respect their privacy and allow them their space.

Guests will enjoy peace and quiet with the sound of the wind rustling through the trees. What guests enjoy the most about this place is the fact that it is in a remote area which allows one to get away from the hustle and bustle of life.

There is another treehouse located on the property that is approximately 50 feet away.

There is free parking at the treehouse. The Hummingbird Treehouse is 8 miles from Eufaula, OK, 140 miles east (2.5 hours) of Will Rogers Airport in OKC, 90 miles south (1.5 hours) of Tulsa International Airport and 210 miles north (3.2 hours) of DFW.

~It is likely that guests may encounter some critters who live in the area such as: squirrels, birds, possums, deer, raccoons, armadillos, snakes, and possibly even Bigfoot!

~The treehouse can and will sway with the wind.

~Your journey to the treehouse will include driving on a gravel road part of the way.

~Enjoy an unplugged stay as we do not have WIFI.

~Cell phone service can be spotty...depending on your provider. AT&T and US Cellular seem to have the best service in this area.
Before building a fire, make sure and check that there isn't a fire ban.

When using the nature trails, you may want to use "Off" or some type of bug repellent.

Getting hot water in the shower can be a bit tricky. There is red tape showing you where to point the shower handle in order to get the warmest water.

We intentionally do not have WIFI so that you can unplug and enjoy your loved one(s) and nature.

Quiet and awesome
We stayed at the treehouse for the eclipse and it was awesome. I loved having little to no cell service because I didn’t want to be bothered. The place is awesome and we look forward to visiting again!

Total Relaxation
Cute little tree house. Nicely decorated, lots of outdoor fun tings to do. Beautiful trees around the house. Perfect getaway place for 2 or 3 people. Communication with the hosts was outstanding, almost instantaneous in spite of cell service. In a nutshell, if you want to get away from all the hustle and bustle, from TV, Wi-Fi, internet, radio, this is it. Enjoy.

Quick Getaway
Our family stayed in the Hummingbird treehouse for one night to break up a long holiday drive. It was a great retreat and nice to be off grid for a night. Unfortunately it rained the whole time we were there but we still had fun playing cards and cuddling in the warm treehouse. There were plenty of activities to do outside although we didn’t have much dry weather to enjoy them. Inside there were cards and games to play which helped keep the kids busy.

Treehouse Adventure
We played the outdoor games that were furnished by the host, horseshoes, cornhole, jenga & whiffle ball? There were 2 swings & 2 hammocks. A picnic table, fire pit, charcoal grill with wood & charcoal furnished for us. We had a small breakfast on the patio this morning and listened to the different bird sounds. My nephew learned how to start a fire, watch for snakes and identify poison ivy. The cabin was equipped with everyday necessities, frig, coffee pot, container of distilled water for drinking and making coffee. A comfortable stay with cool air, clean beds & clean restroom with hand soap, shampoo, conditioner & towels. The shower was nice with adequate water pressure. Overall, a clean & quiet place in the woods in a compact little treehouse! Perfect! The only thing missing was a slide 😂.
