About this property

Stunning farmhouse in gorgeous historic village

Our beautiful and comfortable 1850s family farmhouse is modernly equipped and available for rent through the seasons. Skiing conditions in Okemo mountain should remain good until mid-April!

Close to Okemo and Magic Mountain, surrounded by mountains, woods and streams, and located in the historical village of Chester, walk to local shops and restaurants and enjoy the surroundings.

The farmhouse was built in 1850s and has been renovated and maintained to high modern standards. A north section of the house is still subject to renovation and not included with the rent, nevertheless, the rented section of the house comprises more than twelve rooms on two floors.

The house is very comfortable for 6 people, but it can accommodate more if children are presents or if your group is comfortable with reduced privacy when guests are sleeping in the 2 living rooms with sofa beds. One living room is on the first floor and it is opened to the entry, the dining room and the kitchen. The other living room is on the second floor, and it is a mandatory "pass through" to access the 2 bedrooms on that floor. Additionally, one living room chair can be converted to a twin bed.

The first-floor bedroom has two full beds and could be better suited for 4 children or 2 senior adults who want to have their own comfortable full-size beds.

The house is also optimum to work remotely with two office spaces with comfortable chairs height adjustable with armrests and high-speed internet with Ultra-Fast Fiber Optic Broadband Internet from VTel up to 1,000 Mpbs (1 Gig).

Available rooms on 1st floor:
- A front sunroom
- The main entrance and dining room with woodstove
- A well equipped kitchen
- A first Living room with a queen sofa bed and a chair that can be converted in a twin bed
- One bedroom with two full beds
- A bathroom with combined tub and shower
- A game room with foosball table and games
- A back sunroom

Available rooms on 2nd floor:
- A second Living room with TV and a queen sofa bed
- An office/desk area
- A corridor with laundry washer and dryer
- A bathroom with heated floor and shower
- One master Bedroom with king bed
- One bedroom with a desk and two twin beds (the twin beds could be attached to make a 'king' like bed)

Exterior:
- A backyard not fenced (it is partially fence in some area)
- A fire pit with Adirondack chairs
- A propane Barbecue
- Two exterior tables with benches and chairs
- 3 sheds (one shed is used by the owner for storage)

The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a dishwasher and a bar with 3 stools. The dining table has two extensions to comfortably seat ten people.

A large parking space is provided in front of a three-car garage. The garage is not included with the rent at this stage.

For pet owners, some restrictions apply. Dogs that have caused harm or any dog that is a mixed with at least one of the following breeds are not permitted/allowed on the property: Akita, Chow, American Staffordshire terrier, Pressa Canario, Pit Bull, Rottweiler, Doberman Pinscher or wolf hybrid.

Just as Promised
We were a group of four retired adults wanting to ski Okemo and found the property just as described. The location is perfect with Okemo just 15 minutes away and restaurants and necessity shopping close as well. The home is very well stocked with the essentials to make yourself right at home.

Spicy Skiing and Cozy Hangout Time
We took a long weekend in Chester to ski at Magic and hangout with family. The house offered nice spaces for adults and kids to hangout separately and eat all together. The rooms offered nice overnight privacy and space as well as a full "sleep over room" for the little kids.

Perfect house for a weekend of skiing
Great house for a group of friends to stay at for a ski weekend. The house is right off the main road with restaurants, bars, and shops walking distance. Pat and Cindy were very communicative and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay here again!
