About this property

Riverwood at Mill Ridge - hot tub, arcades, firepit along Watauga River, walk to pool, tennis

Welcome to Riverwood at Mill Ridge!

This spacious home is centrally located in the High Country with quick access to Boone, Banner Elk, and everywhere in between! Next to the Watauga River, guests can enjoy the idyllic setting outside or spend time in the newly renovated inside. The main level offers dining in the formal room, with additional seating in the breakfast table and the counter. There is a gorgeous kitchen with matte steel appliances and granite counters, both Keurig and drip coffee, and easy access to the dining or living rooms. Near the front entrance is a half bath for convenience. Off the living area is the primary bedroom with a king bed and Roku TV. The attached full bathroom has a tiled tub/shower combination with jets and granite counters.

Head upstairs and you'll find two wings, each with two bedrooms and a shared bath between them in the hallway. To one side, a queen bedroom and a full over full bunk room with a twin trundle. To the other side of the home, a queen bedroom and a twin over full bunk room that includes a twin trundle. Each of the full bathrooms upstairs has a tub/shower combination and beautiful granite counters. Between the two wings is a large loft, set up as a great space for the family. There is a daybed with trundle to one side with a TV. The opposite side has a twin over twin bunk. Three arcades are set up (Pac-Man, Mortal Kombat, & Ms. Pac-Man) with cozy bean bag chairs. For the littlest ones, the loft has a train table for hours of play. Cut down on your packing knowing that tucked in a closet are a high chair, bouncer, baby gates, and a portable crib.

Outside, the deck has been renovated and leads down to the grounds. Here you'll find the hot tub and stone patio with a fire pit and Adirondack chairs surrounding it. Explore the yard and walk to the Watauga River ten yards away.

Great overall
We enjoyed the house and location as it was a perfect fit for all of us! The only thing I will mention is the hole in the ceiling in the master bedroom. I believe there was a leak, but now it is covered by plastic and there is a musty smell. We enjoyed our stay and will be back!

The perfect family house
My husband, my parents, and our 3 children (age 6, 3 and 3 months) had an amazing stay with nothing but great things to say!! Perfect location -- close to everything, on the river so the men could fly fish, arcade games and tons of toys and room to play, fully stocked kitchen, ans even a rocking chair to use with baby. We will defifinitely be back! Thanks for a great stay!

Family Memories
This house is everything you see and more. It was the perfect setup for our kids and their cousins to have a memorable family trip. The house is stocked with video games, train sets, legos, books, bunk beds, cozy coupes and more that the kids enjoyed. The adults enjoyed the stocked kitchen, on-site hot tub, views of the river and easy access to the pool and tennis courts. This home gets our highest review, and we are already planning our return visit.
