About this property

Grand Canyon Hideaway Tiny home

Our brand new cozy 250 square-foot tiny home is just 30 minutes from the Grand Canyon. After a long day at the canyon, step outside into the tranquil yard and enjoy the beautiful views of the San Francisco peaks. As evening approaches take in the starry night sky with virtually zero light pollution. Now featuring an outdoor space, fire pit with chairs and roasting sticks. (Provided there is no county fire restrictions at time of stay.)

PLEASE READ ENTIRETY BEFORE BOOKING!

We do not want to receive distasteful reviews based off of things out of our control.

Our space:
The hideaway provides a comfy setting including living room, dining area(seats for four), queen loft, queen sunroom (both with memory foam mattresses), kitchenette (equipped with a microwave and a coffee maker) and in home bathroom (traditional septic). We are half way between the historic town of Williams and The Grand Canyon.

Wi-Fi:
We may be off grid, however we offer internet so you can still connect to the world if you would like.

Roads:
The roads are unmarked, can get muddy, and can have potholes. However, we are not far off of route 180. Please be aware of this especially during the wet season.

Solar:
Our house is powered by solar with no back up. Although Arizona is usually very sunny, there are some cloudy days and our solar may not be able to fully charge. We apologize in advance. As we are an environmentally friendly location and since we only use solar, our system can not handle the use of hair dryers, flatirons, and heated blankets.

Water/Shower:
With our mission of running a green friendly tiny home we ask you to please keep your shower to 2 minutes. The hot water tank is very small and hot water will run out within a matter of minutes.

Winter Stays:
If staying during the cold winter months we would like to note the nights usually drop to cold temperatures. This can cause the pipes to temporarily freeze during the coldest hours, then as the sun rises/temps raise for the day time water will come back. We would like to be upfront about this as this could be a possibility. If night time temps get to 20 and below pipes could freeze throughout the night until about 11am. We recommend using water/showers around these noted times.

Pets:
We do allow pets for a fee per pet (this will be applied at check out) Bringing an unauthorized pet will result in a $100 penalty.

Extra Fees:
Missing items will result in a fee per item
Burning an outdoor fire during a county burn ban could result in a fine.
This is a non smoking home, smoking will result in a $300 fine

Items you need to bring:
Food, Drinking Water, Flashlight, Warm clothes, firewood

We do not have a tv, but for enjoyment we have included all types of games. We are avid board game enthusiast and love a good disconnect from the world with a great game and good company. We do not provide firewood, however we have roasting sticks for your enjoyment. We want to be as upfront as possible on what you can expect here at Canyon Hideaway. As many of these things (weather/solar,roads etc) are out of our control. We want to make this experience as enjoyable as possible!

Perfect location
1/2 way between the town of Williams and the Grand Canyon, this tiny home is perfect for seeing both. Spend a day at the Grand Canyon, then go to Pine country restaurant in Williams for the pie!

Great pet friendly space!
Perfect location, close to Grand Canyon and close enough to gas stations and food truck options. The property was secluded and private and clean and cozy. The tiny house was spacious enough for me and my wife and our Bernedoodle! Perfect spot for us for a 1 or 2 night visit. Check in was super easy! Thank you for sharing your awesome space!

Trek through AZ
Thank you for hosting us in your quaint tiny home! In general, we enjoyed our brief time at this location, but must admit that sleep was difficult for us both as the bed was rather uncomfortable and the pillows were almost paper-thin. Secondly, there was a ton of fresh firewood, starter, and a fire pit, but we were unable to burn it, per the check-in binder. Though, we witnessed several other campfires en route to the accommodation both nights. Overall though, a nice place to stay when passing through the Grand Canyon, etc. Probably not worth the expense - will stay closer to GCV next time. But glad to have experienced it this time.

Beautiful, yet cold stay in the winter
The tiny house is super nice! All arrival instructions/directions were super clear. However, likely not the best option for winter months due to the solar being undersized for the unit. It was cloudy/rainy upon arrival and we only had enough power to run the mini-split for a couple hours before needing to turn it off to conserve power. The second night it got down to 26 degrees, but we couldn’t run it at all because it didn’t charge enough during the day. We bought plenty of blankets and didn’t run much electricity in anticipation, but we estimated it was in the 40s inside by morning. Would definitely stay again, but maybe in the spring or fall!

Perfect to tour the Grand Canyon
We enjoyed our stay! The listing is exactly as described and the host was super duper communicative which was much appreciated. The bed was very comfortable! The space inside was just right for us. The location is perfect...secluded but not too far from the Grand Canyon or from town. There is zero light pollution at night so star gazing is wonderful. Thank you!
