About this property

Romantic Creekside Cabin w/hot tub Near Smoky Mountains National Park

Bear Creek Cabin is located creek side between the charming mountain towns of Sylva and Bryson City in the Smoky Mountains of Western North Carolina, minutes from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

The cabin has easy in and out access to nearby attractions like Cherokee Casino, Blue Ridge Parkway, Lake Fontana, Nantahala Outdoor Center, and Tsali Trails as well as many options for dining, shopping, breweries, hiking, kayaking, rafting, biking, motorcycling, and sight seeing.
The Space:
Our adorable and cozy little cabin is situated along side Conleys Creek and is the perfect spot to escape the noise of the daily grind and reconnect with your partner. This is a place to unplug and unwind in a peaceful and comfy locale and listen to the sounds of the creek, the birds chirping, and the crackling of the fire. There is purposely NO WiFi or Cable TV at the cabin as this is a place to get off your screens, take a break from the grind, and reconnect to nature and each other. Take time to sit on the large front porch or soak in the hot tub and relax in the serene sounds of the rushing creek. Relax around the firepit, spin some vintage records on the record player, play games at the dining room table, or just snuggle under a blanket on the couch and watch a DVD together.
Guest access:
The entire cabin is yours to enjoy. Please just treat it like your home away from home.
Other things to note:
Our cabin is conveniently located to all of the adventures available to you in the Western North Carolina Mountains. Convenient to Bryson City, Sylva, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Cherokee, Lake Fontana, GSM Railway, Tail of the Dragon motorcycle mecca, Blue Ridge Parkway scenic drive, Tsali Trails, Nantahala Outdoor Center, Harrahs Cherokee Resort, Golfing, and more. Just a 1 hour drive to Asheville. If you enjoy getting out and about then Bear Creek is your perfect home base to take it all in. Hiking, Waterfalls, Rafting, Mountain Biking, Boating, Gambling, Breweries, antiquing, kayaking, golfing, and more are all only a 20 minute drive away!
Alas, if your idea of a Mountain Getaway is to hole up, unplug and get away from it all, then our cozy cabin is your ideal spot. You will feel your muscles relax the second you walk through our doors. The cabin is secluded, next to a babbling creek and tucked away in a Mountain Valley. With no WiFi or Cable TV to distract you, you can kick back and enjoy some vintage vinyl on our record player, cozy up by a fire in the fire pit, get engrossed in a movie (DVD), grill some steaks on the grill, play games, listen to the sounds of the creek while rocking on the front porch, do puzzles or read to your hearts content. With one bedroom and a king size bed in the loft, it is perfect for a romantic getaway with your partner, or a small family, or friends retreat.

Nice get away
Cabin was very clean and had everything we needed in it. Only down fall is that the only entrance to the bathroom is in the downstairs bedroom (queen bed room). Cabin is perfect for a couple. Would highly recommend.

Cabin Stay
Overall it was a pleasant enough stay. But there are several issues that have to be addressed. Although there was a cleaning fee, we had to dust some of the furniture. The rug needed vacuuming and the bath rug was outright dirty. The grill was unusable because of the compiled dirt and grease. Again what was the cleaning fee for? Two electrical issues should have been addressed before renting the cabin.

Mattress needs to be changed.
The mattress in the downstairs bedroom is trash. It has a sunken spot in the middle large enough to swallow two people. My wife and I could not rest on this bed. It absolutely needs to be changed before someone else rents this cabin. Otherwise, our stay was nice.

Can’t get help
The say was ok. Was disappointed that there was no TV stations. Only DVD’s which was a good collection. Games were ok as well. Third night there was a disaster. The alarm on the downstairs bedroom went off about midnight. Scared the crap out of us. Tried to call management, owner but guess what? No answer because there was no phone reception. The alarm was so loud with no instructions on how to run it off. Husband opened it up and unplugged it. We’re suppose to stay an extra night but decided to leave because there was no air conditioning and it was going to be 90 degrees the next day so we left and got a hotel room. Will not ever go back to that cabin. It was a nice cabin though. No oven, No dishwasher, no internet, no WiFi and no phone reception. If the cabin had caught on fire then who you gonna call…. No phone reception so the cabin would just have to burn down.
