Spacious family compound know as 'The Moorings' located in the heart of Wellfleet. Tons of indoor & outdoor space to spread out!! This property consists of a large Victorian main house with classic wrap-around front porch, a 3-bedroom cottage, a 2-bedroom cottage and two studio 'housekeeping' cottages. It is a short walk to Mayo Beach, the Harbor/Pier and downtown's Main Street in Wellfleet Center. Walk to Mac's Shack, The Juice, The Pearl, Wicked Oyster, Mac's Seafood, The Bookstore Restaurant, Winslow's Tavern, and other great restaurants! The property, set on a very large parcel, fronts on a saltwater harbor inlet (perfect for kayaking) and is ideally suited for family reunions, weddings, extended family gatherings, and/or cozy private vacations. The main house, the 2-bedroom cottage, and the 3-bedroom cottage boast a total of nine bedrooms and four baths, comfortably accommodating a large party in space in amenities. Magical Wedding Weekend
I can't say enough about The Moorings !! It was a perfect spot for our family of 13 !! We enjoyed every inch of the property !! The main house was spotless and had everything we needed for the week. The cottages out back were perfect for our sons and their families. The children had a huge yard to run around and play. They loved the kayaks and watching all the ducks and birds. April was so accommodating and easy to get in touch with. We hosted our sons Rehearsal Dinner in the backyard. It was truly magical. The lights in the trees were beautiful and there's even a fire pit next to the water. Everyone was in awe of the property . Town is an easy walk and has wonderful restaurants and shops. We highly recommend staying at the Moorings . We will be back !!Thank you April Pat Welch Gadsden, Alabama

Beautiful Wellfleet Waterfront Compound
Our second stay at this beautiful property did not disappoint. Our large group enjoyed dinners and social time around the fire, on the porches, and picnic tables. Location provides a perfect hub for beach, boating and golf outings, paddling from the property, and short walks to galleries, restaurants, and hikes. We’ll be back!

Wellfleet Summer Fun
This is our second year staying here -- we had such a great time last year we all decided to come back! The main house, cottages, and large yard (with beautiful water view) make this the perfect place for a multigenerational vacation. The proximity to beach, shopping, restaurants, and sporting activities cannot be beat. We are already talking about staying again next summer!

Best Family Vacation Place
This property was ideal for all ages. There was outside dining that accommodated all our large group (18-20) and two long tables inside for eating. We kayaked from the yard, walked along fiddler crab city during low tide, and groups walked to town or the pier. No need to drive a lot. It’s so nice to all be together in one spot but also have 3 different cabins and the main house to fit everyone’s needs. The kitchen was outfitted well and many fans were there to keep us cool. It was comfortable but not fussy…good if you have children. The owner was very responsive to my concerns and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a “family compound “ for holiday.

I have spent summers in Wellfleet since I was a young child. I always admired The Moorings and when I had the chance to purchase it as an adult, I jumped on the opportunity! We have had so many gatherings of friends and family. It is the perfect gathering spot in the best location in Wellfleet. I hope you enjoy it as much as we have.

What makes this property unique

Walk to all the local restaurants and bars. Walk to the pier to enjoy a meal or ice cream with a view of the Wellfleet Harbor. Walk to and swim at Mayo Beach. Walk to the Tennis Courts and Recreation Center. Walk to the center of town for shopping, restaurants and art galleries. Close proximity (quick drive or bike ride) to the ocean beaches and kettle ponds. 20 minutes to Provincetown. Main house and cottages set up allows multiple families and friends to share a vacation property but have their own space at the same time. Large central yard to gather for meals or chilling by the fire pit.
