3 night stay
The cabin was cosy and perfect for 2 people. Equipped with everything you’d need, the surrounding views were stunning and completely private, would definitely recommend and revisit. Thank you Ruth for a lovely stay.

Lovely quaint cottage. Little wood stove kept the room warm and my daughter loved it. Very compact but it worked out and the kitchen was well appointed. Loved opening the front door to a view of the fields with sheep and horses. The sun even came out once lol

Perfect tiny home country escape.
This tiny home has everything you could need, and is perfect for visiting loads of historic sites, gardens and vistas in Carmarthenshire. There’s even a motte and bailey castle on the property! If you’re reading this go no further, book it and go. You wont regret it. The below summarises my experience: This place is a tonic to struggling souls, And it lifts like the kites as they dance in the gales. It may not be mine, but it is surely a home, This bailey, this castle, this hafod in Wales. There is history here in this picturesque land, Where the rocks are as solid as I thought I was. But the weather can change as relationships can, Yet this cabin is healing whatever the cause. When life gives you lemons you make lemonade, One step at a time is the best way to start. So escaping to Wales was the best choice I made, And here in this haven, I have re-found my heart. … to find out how it ends, you’ll have to read the cabin guest book.

I travel extensively with my work so I appreciate “little luxuries” when I stay in different places. The aim is to create an outdoor, peaceful space but with all the luxuries you would expect from an hotel. I would like the guests to have a truly peaceful setting but to also be able to access all mod cons when needed. I love walking and horse riding and you will either find me at the stables or in summer time gardening.

Why they chose this property

This is a breathtakingly beautiful rural area with many places to visit. We are equally distanced five miles between Llandeilo and Llandovery and there is a wealth of walks and places to explore.

What makes this property unique

This is a truly magnificent location as the property sits on a medieval motte and Bailey. There once stood a castle on the 14m mound called Castell Meurig. They claim that Llewelyn, Prince of Wales visited and sadly it was destroyed in 1209. The site is a scheduled monument and of significant importance for Welsh heritage
