About this property

Chez Kristina

Chez Kristina is a charming, recently renovated maisonette. It is located 65 kilometers southeast of Paris, in the small village of Fontaine Fourches (France). It is nestled on the borders of Brie, at the crossroads of the Île-de-France, Burgundy and Champagne regions.
The surroundings are rich in historic towns and villages. Provins, medieval city surrounded by its ramparts, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and its famous César Tower, its medieval festivals, its Provins rose and its by-products, its attractions such as "Les Aigles des Remparts", its Fête des Moissons and its show "La Légende des Chevaliers", offers an experience for the whole family as a beautiful moment of history. Montereau-Fault-Yonne, site of a Napoleonic battle against the Austrians, with its museum of the fault and that of barley sugar. The medieval town of Moret-sur-Loing, known for the stay of the painter Sisley, its canoe routes on the Loing, tree climbing, climbing and caving. Nogent-sur-Seine with its Dubois-Boucher Museum which exhibits the largest private collection of sculptures by Camille Claudel; you can cycle along the Seine and visit the 18th century castle of La Motte-Tilly. Sens with its cathedral and Gallo-Roman museum. Troyes, gastronomic mecca of andouillette, with its medieval town center in the shape of a champagne cork, its half-timbered houses, its cathedral, its museums and its champagne houses. You can visit the castle of Fontainebleau or hike in the 25,000 hectares of forest, on foot or by mountain bike, or practice climbing on the many rocks. You will spend a pleasant day at the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, which inspired the architecture of the Château de Versailles, its grandiose kitchen, its crew museum and its park.
The area around the gite is perfect for bike rides; angling in the Seine and horse riding can be practiced nearby. Tennis courts and playground in the village. Also a farm shop can provide most of your vegetables.
The cottage has two en-suite bedrooms, one with a shower room (ground floor), the other bathroom (1st floor), 1 separate W.C. on each floor and a lounge area with television and DVD player. Each bedroom has two twin beds; possibility on the ground floor to bring the beds together to form a king-size bed. We provide bed linen, towels and tea towels. The house has a cot and a high chair. A large kitchen/dining room opens onto the garden and its dining and rest areas. The guest house is fully equipped (washing machine, dishwasher, electric oven, microwave oven, iron, electric coffee maker, toaster, hair dryer...) to facilitate moments of relaxation, both inside and in the garden.
Charging station for electric vehicles in the village.
