K0065 On The Beach: Featuring a pool, hot tub, and breathtaking ocean views.

Your family will say WOW! when they stay at "On The Beach", a beautiful semi-
oceanfront home with all the OBX trimmings! Relax in the upper deck hot tub with an
incredible ocean view. See and hear the surf, feel the breeze and watch the sun rise
over the ocean with your coffee from the kitchen, living room or either of the two front
decks.
Five large bedrooms will comfortably hold the biggest families or groups, and there is
driveway parking for eight cars. New living room couches and chairs are comfortable,
and upgraded marble kitchen counters and freshly painted cabinets sparkle. A new
cargo lift eases the transfer of bags and groceries to all floors.
It's only a short walk to lifeguarded beach access or you can swim in your backyard
private pool (10 x 20). The top-floor living room has a big, flat-screen HDTV with DISH
and a Blu-ray player and is stocked with current videos, board games and a lending
library of paperback books. Everyone will enjoy the mid-floor rec room with its own
view of the ocean and flat-screen HDTV, Play Station 3 and pool table.
"On The Beach" is located only minutes from golf, movies, shopping and right next
door to the good food, wonderful island atmosphere and live music of the Rundown
Café restaurant. Owners continue to improve an already fantastic vacation home. At
Milepost 1 in Kitty Hawk, it’s the first vacation house on the Beach Road!
Other amenities: TVs in all bedrooms, Dish TV throughout the house, DVD/BLURAY
library.

Great week ... Great house

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I called 3 times for pool and jacuzzi to be cleaned, no one showed. 4 electric plugs had to be replaced, in kitchen, storm door was broken, doing laundry outside was not convenient at all! The pool was very small for a group of 9 people!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We found this place to have a great layout for our family's needs. The two master suites on the top floor were perfect for the 2 sets of grandparents and the middle floor was great for my son's family. Except for the fact that there was no dead bolt on the door leading to the middle deck. Our 4 year old grandson could open that door and go out whenever he wanted to. We ended up moving the couch in the pool table room in front of the door to keep our little ones safer. Better child locks would be nice in a house that advertises good for kids with highchair, gates etc. The title On the Beach was a little misleading since there were another row of houses between us and the beach, although overall we were pleased with the close proximity to the beach and beach access. However, the living room furniture was very uncomfortable. Needs to be updated. Sat very low and was very saggy. The kitchen cabinets were terribly dirty. We ended up taking all of the dishes out of the top ones, washing them all and cleaning the inside of the cupboards. I found leftover food and dirty dishes. The floors could have been cleaner also, but I do understand it's difficult at the beach, not to have sand in the house. The pool was small for the number of guests the house could hold. Needing to go outside across the driveway to do laundry was also a negative. The stairway down to the driveway was very dark at the bottom and difficult to see. Plus it had a terrible musty smell. However the pool man that came to service on our check in day was awesome. He emptied the hot tub and provided us with fresh water in their which was super nice. Overall nice place and location but could use a little maintenance.
