About this property

Lake Champlain Waterfront: Renovated Cottage, Sunsets, Kayaks & Paddle Boards!

Brand new rental listing! We just listed our completely renovated lake cottage!

Enjoy the peaceful waters of Lake Champlain at this stunning waterfront cottage! Cottage is west facing which provides you the opportunity to enjoy amazing sunsets while swinging in the hammock or sitting around the Solo stove, enjoying a fire.

The cottage is typically available for one week minimum rental through Labor Day. However, since we were late listing this summer, we would consider a shorter stay of at least four nights. After Labor Day, the cottage is available for 3 night minimum stays with flexible check-in days.

The cottage provides ample sleeping options: Master bedroom (Queen), 2nd Bedroom (Twin bunk beds and Full bed), and a sleeping loft with 2 Twin XL beds (accessible by ladder and not appropriate for young children). Beautiful full bathroom with custom tiled shower with a fantastic rain shower head.

Cottage is equipped with high speed internet and fully stocked with everything you will need: linens, towels, plates, glasses, Keurig coffee maker, grill/smoker, board games, puzzles, Smart TV. The cottage is air conditioned and all bedrooms have personal fans as well. There is no laundry at the cottage, but there are nearby laundromats and property has an outside clothes drying line.

On Property Activities:
The property has a boat house that is fully stocked with amenities to enjoy during your stay - Kayaks, Paddle Boards, Floats, Solo Stove, Adirondack chairs, Lawn games, Beach chairs, Beach umbrella, Adult life jackets are available to use.
The cottage has an ample sized yard and a tiered waterfront area which provides for a very private lounging/sunbathing area. We have two lounge chairs set up in this area for you to enjoy as well as a hammock on the lawn area. The waterfront area has a dock and private swimming beach. Lake Champlain waterfront is typically rocky so guests should bring water shoes. There are public boat launches nearby if you choose to bring your boat. Nearby marinas also have slips available to rent. Incredible fishing right off the dock on the property. You will see many fishing boats trolling the bay for fish.

Nearby Activities:
-Champlain Country Club (Golf)
-Dining: Great selection of restaurants in Swanton and St. Albans. Choices range from fast food restaurants to Vermont Farm to Table restaurants. Some of our favorites include Swanton House of Pizza, Shaggy's Snack Bar, Twiggs Gastropub, The Drake, Jeff's Maine Seafood, 14th Star Brewing, Mill River Brewing and many more!
-2 large supermarkets within 10 minute drive

“Let’s stay here forever”
Upon entering the cottage, there’s a blanket in the living room that says “let’s stay here forever” and we seriously considered it! This place is well appointed, open floor plan, tastefully decorated, and was absolutely spotless when we arrived! Mike and Andrea are very attentive hosts, and have thought of everything to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The view of the lake was gorgeous. We had such an enjoyable and relaxing stay, and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!!

Perfect lake house!
Enjoyed our stay so much that we asked to extend our reservation (unfortunately, the house was already booked so we were unable to do so). The house was beautifully decorated (my 18 year old said it looked straight out of a magazine- and she’s hard to impress). The view of the lake was amazing - whether outside or sitting on the sofa looking out the large windows. The beds were super comfortable. The throw pillows and blankets around the house made it so cozy. The bathroom was my favorite part- it was spacious, clean, lots of extra towels, and loved the rain shower head! I can’t say enough positive about the house! Very cute. VERY clean! The house is a little small, but windows make it feel larger. There was enough space for a family of 4 to spend a rainy day playing board games and watching movies. The house had all the amenities needed plus some. Can’t wait to return. We were in town visiting our daughters who attend UVM, this location was nice break from Burlington rentals. Easy drive to Burlington and to Stowe!

Sweet Getaway
This is a beautifully and thoughtfully renovated cottage in a peaceful, private setting with a gorgeous view of the water. Our hosts have thought of everything to make a stay here delightful. We are retired and enjoyed the peace and quiet but there are lots of opportunities for fun on the water. Our kids and grandkids visited us for a day, as we all live locally. Just a very special place that we plan to visit again.

Beautiful Lake Cottage
This cottage was everything we hoped it would be. Everything was very comfortable, with excellent amenities. Beautiful bathroom, well-appointed kitchen, comfortable beds. Extra touches like cozy throws and ample, plush towels (shower and beach) were a huge plus. It was so great to be able to bring our dog, Ruth. The leash run set up in the yard, when we attached the long leash we brought, gave her the freedom and safety she needed. Really enjoyed the aquatic gear in the shed, especially the fishing kayaks. It's just a short paddle north to First Creek, where there were plenty of perch and bass for an evening's angling. We can't say enough good things, and hope to return. Bill, Sarah, and Family.
