Excellent!
House is spacious and well stocked. A large variety of games for kids to play. Easily accessible and even though you are in a neighborhood, you feel private.

Hi! I’m Caitlyn, your host. I’ve lived in the Albuquerque/Rio Rancho area my entire life. I host this vacation rental house alongside my husband and we have two school-aged children together. We are world-travelers and enjoy fitness and outdoor activities. We love sharing our home so that others can enjoy all of the things we love about it.

Why they chose this property

Our home is on the edge of the Petroglyph National Monument land, which is a large, protected desert space. There is a lot of open desert space, desert wildlife, and just across the street are the actual carvings that our ancestors made in the rocks thousands of years ago. Our neighborhood is quiet and offers views of the entire city of Albuquerque, the Sandia Mountains, and unobstructed views of the best sunsets in the world.

What makes this property unique

Our rooftop deck is the most unique thing about our home. At night, you can see all the twinkling lights of the City of Albuquerque as well as the pink mountains at sunset (Sandia Mountains are called this because of their pink color at sunset. "Sandia" means watermelon in spanish). Another unique thing is the proximity to the protected desert landscapes around the neighborhood. There is a lot of desert wildlife around so you may see or hear snakes, coyotes, owls, hawks, porcupines...the list is endless. We also have a family of desert tortoises living in our courtyard. They thrive off of the insects and our timed water sprinklers during the months of April - October and hibernate when it is cold. You can feed them if you want- just please don't let them escape! They have been enjoyed by many.
