About this property

Cool off in the mountains! Enjoy a real log home with endless views .

Indian Camp Mountain is a private gated community with lots at a
minimum of 5 up to 50 acres. You will love returning from a trip to
Brevard, Cashiers, or a nearby waterfall, and knowing once you are
inside the gate, it's another world. We enjoy the resident
wildlife, the morning songbirds, the evening owls, and the peace and
quiet that a true forest location can bring.

The South/Southwest view overlooks the endless undeveloped natural forests. Due to the state park, this land will always stay natural. The view of the Blue Ridge Mountains is astounding. It literally changes every 15 minutes. Begin your day with coffee sitting in the Adirondack chairs on the 35' x 9' open deck, and have lunch at the table for six under a large umbrella. Cook dinner on the gas Weber grill. If it's raining, move the table around or sit on the bench on the covered 40' x 6' deck and enjoy the view of the woods. Watch the sky change with a glass of wine as night settles over the mountains. This cabin has been a dream for a long time. We have furnished it as though it was exclusively ours to use. We are exactly on the Eastern continental divide which means there is no higher elevation until you reach the Rocky Mountains!

We escape to the mountains to get off the grid. The sole TV and blu ray player are located in the lower level. There is no cable in the mountains and the TV is streaming only.

Other things to note:
From the outside front entrance, please note all of the first floor is
accessible with no steps. We do have wildlife in the area. We have
seen a back bear once this summer. They are shy but there is
absolutely no food that can be left out or in cars or they will be
visiting. This is a mountain community and nature is well respected.

We absolutely love having morning coffee and evening wine on the
deck watching the scenery change. We are often above the
clouds, the colors of the mountains and the sky are ever-changing and
never fail to awe us.

*If this is too small, check out 7 Ridges which is a mile away!

Great view
The basement in this cabin has a better view than most have from the top floor, the location is very private even in the winter months, the kitchen is well equipped with quality pots and pans etc. ( the Nespresso is awesome) We had my elderly parents with us and the main floor was perfect for them ( no need to climb any steps) There is no TV on the main floor, didn’t miss it. The one in the basement worked great and we mostly “visited”, with the very nice gas logs going the whole time. The basement was a bit chilly, I think that was because we mostly stayed on the main floor and keeping that comfortable with the gas logs kept the heat from running as much. Overall really nice place, looking forward to being there at different times of the year to enjoy the view.

Starwood Stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Starwood. The views were spectacular and the cabin provided everything we could have ever needed. The information listed online was accurate in every description. We spent a lot of time hiking and viewing the many waterfalls in the area. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Incredible views-wonderful property
The views and cabin are fantastic. While we spent most of our time hiking, we could have just as easily hung around the cabin to enjoy the views and amenities. Good location between Brevard and Cashiers but you will have to drive 20 minutes to Brevard and about 30 minutes into Cahiers. However, the cabins and views are well worth it.

We bought Starwood in 2018 and spent almost a year renovating inside and out. It is a very happy place for us and we love how happy we have made so many guests who are first-time visitors to the mountains.

Why they chose this property

Indian Camp Mountain is a great break from the activity in Brevard but we love the proximity to Brevard as well and all that the area offers in terms of outside activity. We also love returning and knowing once we are inside the gate, it's another world. We enjoy the resident wildlife, the morning songbirds, evening owls and the occasional bear prowling around outside.

What makes this property unique

The view is the most unique feature. The cabin is cozy and just has a great feel to it. The lower level with the only TV (streaming only) gets us off the grid and we love both sitting on the deck for morning coffee, evening wine and in the cooler months, around the fireplace. The kitchen is very well equipped for an everyday or holiday meal.
