This peaceful and spacious mountain cabin is in a private neighborhood which feels like a wilderness retreat but you are within a 5-10 min drive of all Monteagle has to offer. Come relax after hiking at South Cumberland State Park in the large sunroom and wrap-around porches with the sounds of a backyard stream, wildlife in every direction, a fire under the stars, an infrared sauna, and much more. 15 minutes to Sewanee, 30 min. to Chattanooga, Murfreesboro, 1 hour to Nashville and Huntsville.

Relaxing Getaway
This cabin provided us the perfect getaway that my husband and I needed. Close to the interstate, nestled back in the woods and the neighboring houses were far enough away to give us some privacy and not feel crowded. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and a basket of snacks. We also enjoyed the sauna, playing ping pong, swinging on the back porch and using the fire pit. The heat had not gotten turned on yet for the fall season and Brooke was very proactive in taking care of this for us, wanting to make sure our stay was enjoyable. She was very easy to work with and made herself available to communicate with when needed. This is a great place for a couples' getaway or a family vacation (4 bedrooms and 3 baths)!

Begin your Sewanee memories starting here!
This was our first Family Weekend with our freshman at Sewanee, and the Mountain Memories cabin made a lovely, comfortable home base for treks to the Domain. First, it’s less than 15 minutes to pass through the gates of campus, which was a huge deal considering how far a lot of families have to drive. The cabin itself is absolutely charming, but also very, very spacious. Every room is beautifully decorated, and well-appointed for any of our needs. The ping pong table added a dash of fun. I wish we’d had enough time to enjoy other amenities like the front porch, back deck, and fire pit. And the kitchen table was a sweet place to sit at as we rehashed the day and planned out the next day before saying good night. Price was amazing for how spacious it is. Super clean and tidy. Peaceful area and no light pollution for star gazers. Excellent communications with the host, and so easy to get in and out. Five stars, highly recommend. Thanks, Brooke!
