About this property

Peaceful off-grid cabin at Alamo Alpaca Ranch PET FRIENDLY

Relax w/ the whole family at this private cabin. Stunning 360 degree mountain views, only 30 minutes to Alamosa. Allows easy access for shopping, restaurants, & breweries. With plenty to see at the ranch (entertaining farm animals) & many activities to do close by, you are sure to have a great stay! Amongst the closest stays to the The Great Sand Dunes National Park & surrounding 14ers! Spectacular sunrises/sunsets & zero light pollution makes it hard to count all the shooting stars you'll see!

Private space, with fenced in yard for pets. Kids love to make the loft space their own. Gather around the cozy fire pit (firewood provided). Fresh free range eggs for breakfast. Horses, llamas/alpacas, goats and more provide a genuine ranch experience. Enjoy this serene setting in the worlds largest alpine valley, nestled between the Sangre de Cristo & San Juan Mountain ranges. Sustainable living, 100% off grid, powered by solar energy.

Welcome to view the animals but be careful of electric fence (top two wires). If you'd like a farm tour please reach out and we would be happy to show you around.

In order to ensure a very clean standard and quick turnaround time we utilize a professional cleaning and laundry service. This allows us to occasionally offer last minute bookings or free early check-ins.

The neighborhood is very quiet, peaceful, and not populated, feels like the last frontier. Great cell service makes for a fantastic location for working remote! The dirt roads after leaving Highway 160, can get quite bumpy but have had low profile sports cars make it in no problem.

Absolutely perfect!
I can not say enough about how perfect this space was. The views were beautiful and the location was so close to everything we wanted to do. The animals were adorable and we loved doing a tour and getting to give them treats. It was just my boyfriend and I, but I see how this would also be great for families or pets! 10/10 would recommend to anyone and would stay again in a heartbeat!

Amazing views
A lovely off-grid cabin with plenty of amenities. It's fenced in with plenty of room for dogs to roam. There is the amazing view of Mt Blanca towering over the valley, or the inquisitive animals on the ranch.

Stay at Llama Ranch
James and Cindy were wonderful hosts. The little cabin was perfect. The sunrises and sunsets were breathtaking along with the stars and meteor shower at night. Hated to leave❤️
