About this property

Hideout,2 King Beds,3 bunk beds,Linens, walk to Ski Hill, Beach and Pool! Creek!

Welcome to Cozy Creek Cabin! Located in the amenity filled community, The Hideout. This is the lake region of the Pocono Mountains! The cabin has a creek right in the back yard which can be seen from several windows and rear deck. It is walking distance to a kayak/paddle board launch on Roamingwood Lake (3 minute walk) also great for fishing. Also walking distance to the Main beach and heated pool on Roamingwood Lake (10 minute walk). Hideout Ski Hill and Art Center is a 1 min drive. 10 minute drive to Hideout golf course and Recreation Center. 12 minute drive to Ledgedale Recreation Area on Lake Wallenpaupack (boat launch for small fee). Or 19 minutes to the public boat launch on the north end of Lake Wallenpaupack. Renters can bring their boats into the Hideout but they cannot use their boat on any lakes in the community. But just 12-20 minutes away (depending on boat launch you choose) you can launch your boat on one of the largest lakes in PA, Lake Wallenpaupack. 20 minutes to Pocono Action Sports on Lake Wallenpaupack (boat rentals). 16 minutes to Shuman's Point Hiking Trail. 26 minutes to Promised Land State Park which offers 50 miles of hiking trails. 35 minutes to Montage Mountain for skiing or snow tubing. Or just relax in the cabin, it’s filled with cozy warm blankets, and so many modern conveniences. Start your morning with the Keurig duo coffee maker which has single serve and coffee pot options. We provide a milk frother and seasonal coffee syrup so you can be your own barista! We also provide individually wrapped tea varieties and an electric tea kettle. Get cozy with your morning beverage of choice by the propane fireplace or if you prefer a wood burning fire, enjoy the smokeless fire pit outside. The outdoor chaise lounge will also call your name as you feel the breeze flow by and listen to the trees and nature sing. A hammock is ready for your enjoyment so be sure to swing or nap and let life's stress float away. Then perhaps you meander down to the creek for a short while to clear your mind or enjoy a meal there as we provide a table and chairs for your enjoyment.
There is a work station provided in the loft (Two 27" HD Monitors, Universal Dock, Wireless Keyboard and Mouse, Logitech Webcam (for those zoom meetings your going to cancel, right?). While we strongly recommend unplugging and relaxing while you are here, we hope this work station may allow you to arrive earlier and/or stay later so that you can really soak in all that the cabin and the area have to offer.
As you wind down from your fun-filled or relaxing day, all beds have brand new linens and pillows as of Summer 2023. There are 2 brand new, king sized beds. The master bedroom is located on the 3rd level, has an ensuite full bathroom (tub/shower). There is a full bathroom on every level. Towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided in all baths. Air conditioning and heat in all rooms are excellent. In the Pocono Mountains we can get cool, refreshing air even in the summer and all windows are functioning so we encourage you to open them as weather permits and enjoy the breeze! The views are refreshing to take in from every window as well, evidenced by the photos but of course nothing compares to enjoying it all in person.
For the kids: This house has not just 1 set of bunk beds, but THREE! One on the main level which offers a twin top bunk and a full bottom bunk. And another 2 bunk beds on the lower level, all 4 beds in this room are twin size. There is a mini air hockey table (not pictured) stored under couch on lower level. That and the smart TV are good to have for rainy days. Kids will enjoy exploring the woods and creek. There is plenty of space for setting up tents and hammocks for kids. Bring your flashlights and lanterns!
Additionally on the lower level, we have a queen bed that is the perfect spot for parents who wish to sleep by the kids staying in the lower level bunk room or for those looking for accessibility to have a bed, bath and space to enjoy with virtually no steps to enter. The lot is level in the front so it is very easy to exit your vehicle and enter our home with just 1 small step at the front door. **The rest of the home has several steps for accessing all levels including the kitchen so it is NOT considered a fully accessible home and does NOT have accessibility features in bathrooms.
**The home has security cameras on the front of home only, capturing activity in the driveway only. These are for our security and yours.
**We cannot be responsible for amenity closures which can happen at anytime due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. The Hideout charges an admin fee for every rental agreement which is added to the VRBO fees which you will see when booking. We cannot change this. There will be a registration form required to be filled out at least 3 days prior to your arrival for gate access. All drivers must show a valid drivers license and valid vehicle registration upon check in. There are no exceptions to this community requirement. There is a central trash facility for all owners and guests to use located within a 2 minute drive from the house. Trash is not picked up at the house and cannot be left at the house upon departure. We suggest planning to enjoy activities both in the hideout and outside the community so you can enjoy your stay to the fullest!
Escape to the mountains and recharge at Cozy Creek Cabin!

Cozy Creek Cabin is sooooo cozy. Our visit was during the prime fall foliage season and the vibrant colors did not disappoint. The property is so welcoming and easy to navigate. Owners have provided many cozy touches like warm blankets to snuggle by the gas fireplace, latte fixings, a welcome goodie basket with all the information necessary to enjoy The Hideout’s many amenities as well as those in the Lake Wallenpaupack area. The beds are super comfortable and entire property was spotless. Check-in at the community registration was smooth and pleasant for us and for our guests that came a day later. Lastly, I love that the Hideout community has a trash /recycling center. Having rented in the Poconos for 40+ years, nothing is more frustrating then full trash cans from previous renters with a trash pick up date 4 days away. We had no trash buildup upon arrival and we’re able to drop off trash and recycling, just a 2 minute drive away, as needed and upon departure. No full trash cans lining the road! Will definitely rent this property again and soon!

Maureen Prigge is our property manager. She will take excellent care of you and manages all communication with our guests. Our names are James and Amanda Salyer. We’ve been vacationing in the Lake Region of the Poconos as a family for 30+ years. We have 2 boys, ages 10 and 7 whom we’ve been enjoying the area with since they were born. Amanda’s family has been coming to the area for as long as she can remember. We decided to put some roots down and purchase a vacation home to enjoy and we are happy to open it up to your family to be our guest and enjoy building your family memories too!

Why they chose this property

We love all the amenities of The Hideout. We are also boaters and the proximity to Lake Wallenpaupack brought us to the area. The security, amenities and overall feel of the community offered something that couldn’t be compared to other communities in the area. We just love it here and think you will too!

What makes this property unique

The creek! And all the woods in between! When we were thinking of names for the house I just couldn’t help but think of the words Cozy Creek Cabin. Cozy is the feeling you get when walk up the stairs to the main level. It’s as if Olaf is giving you a warm hug ;) The wood ceiling, floors and window trim are beautiful. The neutral paint lets the wood shine and the outdoors flow in through the beautiful, custom windows. The layout was thoughtfully designed with bedrooms large enough to fit king beds in some and bunk beds in others. Then you walk outside and the real reason we’re here is revealed: wrap around deck, large enough for 10+ people to gather. A stroll through the woods and you arrive at a blissful creek that is flowing ever so softly or moving swiftly depending on rainfall. There is never a bad time of year to be at this place! It has stolen our hearts!
