Great space!
The house was spacious and well put together. Comfortable furniture and beds, and very clean! Pam was timely in communicating with us for any needs, and offered to reimburse us to purchase a pack and play for the house. While our winter day was lovely, as was the hot tub, we would certainly want to rent the house again this summer!

Winter Getaway
Our family wanted a relaxing winter getaway mixed with some snow adventures (sledding, snowmobiling etc). We missed out on the snow - but thoroughly enjoyed the stay here anyway. The house is as advertised: everything was updated, and in great condition and amenities were abundant and as stated in the listing. The space was perfect for us to enjoy meals and some board games together, yet also have spaces to spend some downtime to ourselves. We enjoyed just hanging out away from our normally busy schedules. The basement family room/ping pong table was enjoyed by the kids regularly. We all loved the hot tub. The view was beautiful. The neighborhood was quiet and safe, yet close to main roads and easy access to towns. The host gave several suggestions on activities and places to eat that were much appreciated. The lake and yard/beach/kayaks would be great in the summer and we would return if given the chance. We would definitely enjoy the deck, fire pit, and yard space as well.

Having been raised in northern Minnesota, I wanted my children to enjoy the beauty of lake life. Every summer for 15 years we rented this home and made many wonderful memories. We purchased it in 2021 and spent two years remodeling it. We hope other families will enjoy it as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

The location is special. Agate Lake is quiet with no public boat landing. Yet it is across the road from gigantic Gull Lake and centrally located close to lots of things to do in Baxter, Brainerd and Nisswa: Zip-lines, horseback riding, golf courses, arcades, escape rooms, bicycle trails, Pillsbury state park, turtle races, water slides, and marvelous restaurants.

What makes this property unique

Our property is on two beautiful wooded lots with privacy. The beach is a large sand beach kids can enjoy and the shore is shallow water for safe swimming. There are no big steps to hike up and down from the lake. Just stroll a few feet in the level back yard and there is the water. The large wrap-around second level deck outside the kitchen provides a wonderful view of the lake and the western exposure produces glorious sunsets.
