Quick stay in Charlotte
Came in for one night to attend a concert at Bank of America stadium. The good: Very clean, cute welcome basket, apartment was well stocked with toiletries, TP, paper towels, coffee/supplies, etc. The beds were comfortable. About 1.1 miles from BOA stadium. The not-so-good: I didn't get the check in code until an hour before I arrived. The entire arrival/check-in process was complicated. It would have been nice to have all information in one notifcation so I wasn't hunting for it and trying to make sense of it all upon arrival. I had one email that had the address, parking and security fob info, another for apartment code. Upon arrival the the parking deck is tight and we had to turn around a couple times searching for correct level and the right elevator that the security fob was at, then park on another level. Apartment was on yet a different level. Had one code to enter parking garage, one for lockbox containing the security fob, then another code for apartment door. PLUS, there were about 30 lockboxes to search through to find the right one. It was a complicated unavoidable process, but I think having all of the codes in one email instead of getting part the day before and the remainder an hour ahead of arrival (while driving to destination) would have been helpful. I could have familiarized and prepared myself better. Maybe list out all of the codes needed and the order they are needed upfront.? And definately needed to get all the info sooner.

Extremely disappointing.
The check in process was hectic and we were not able to enter the property until 45 minutes after check in due to the previous guest "leaving a huge mess and checking out late". Two older guests of the same host were also waiting for their property to become available. The building this property is located has a sickening odor. After exiting the elevator on the floor the property is located on I would hold my breath until reaching it. While the property itself did not smell horrible, it was extremely unclean and definitely not being cleaned by a professional cleaning crew. From the orange slime ring around the tub's drain to crumbs in the utensil drawer, it looked like the bare minimum was being done in between guests. I dare say it was cleaner after I left than when I began my stay. The host was responsive when contacted by text or phone. The location was close to downtown nightlife and various athletic venues. Overall, while it suited our needs, it was not an enjoyable stay. Easily the worst property of anything I've rented via Vrbo/other sites. I highly recommend looking elsewhere.

VRBO description says two beds in each bedroom and two sofas in living room but each has only one. Lockbox was in a different location from what host described. A lamp had no lightbulb and another had a burned out lightbulb. Ceiling fans were unusable due to no controls. No dishrags and towels in kitchen. No paper towels. Nice bowls, plates, and glasses but almost no utensils. Inaccurate description of parking a second car. It felt like the host was a corporate entity not an individual. I suspect the host has never been to this property.
