About this property

Whippoorwill Cabin, a pet-friendly retreat in Swan Valley

Located in beautiful Swan Valley and convenient to the Snake River, Palisades Reservoir, Jackson and the Grand Tetons, Whippoorwill Cabin can be the center of your adventurous vacation or the quiet retreat you've been looking for. This private retreat is tucked into the foothills of Baldy Mountain and surrounded by mature trees, with spectacular views across the valley and without a neighbor in sight.

The first thing you'll notice as you approach the cabin is that you seem to have left the world behind and entered your own private domain. Swan Valley is a quiet place, but you'll be amazed how tucked away the location is and the sense of tranquility you'll feel as you round the corner to the cabin.

Whippoorwill Cabin is fully furnished in tasteful cabin decor and stocked for your every need. Upstairs you'll find the primary bedroom, a living room with reclining leather couches and a huge TV, the full kitchen with room for 8 at the dining table, and a full bathroom.

Downstairs is the family room with another huge TV, couch seating, and a twin bunk bed with a pull-out trundle - sleeping up to three. The two bedrooms adjacent to the family room each sleep up to two each in their log-frame queen beds. The laundry facilities are also available downstairs.

We've prepared Whippoorwill for all your vacation needs. You can borrow our inflatable paddle boards to use at the reservoir, strap on the snowshoes in the winter months, or play our board games or cards in the evenings. Coffee and tea are on hand, and the kitchen has every utensil and dining ware for your meals (the nearby general store has a great selection of groceries). Or use the grill for some outdoor cooking!

The cabin sits on twelve acres and the whole cabin is yours for your stay. There are four RV pads will full hook-ups on the property, separated from the cabin by trees and a canal, that may be in use. If you want to rent them as well and host an even larger crew, contact us!

Cozy Stay
We had such a lovely stay at this cabin. It was very private and secluded. Just what our family needed. We loved sitting outside and watching the deer walk by. My toddler loved exploring the large property and riding his bike down the long driveway. Our dogs enjoyed running in the large open fields. The hosts were very generous in leaving us fresh farm eggs and everything we needed to cook. We had plenty of warm blankets and towels. They even had bowls, a bed, and blankets for our dogs. We had forgotten a dog crate and the hosts came by to lend us one. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a comfortable place to disconnect.
