As realtors say, "It's about location, location, location." And this condo has a wonderful location on the shore of Pinehurst Lake, a sizable spring-fed, clear-water, calm lake without motor boats or jet-skis - peace reigns as the occasional paddle-boarder or kayaker might pass by, plus maybe at twilight the slow-passing of an electric-powered pontoon touring the lake. And the condo's view across to the lake's opposite shore is a row of private homes surrounded by a majestic forest of towering long-leaf pines, from which comes a pleasant chorus of birdsong through the morning and at sunset. The condo's living room balcony offers a great, private respite if one is looking, as I was, for a place with a nice view to sit and relax - 5 stars! I found the condo itself to be cozy, clean and comfortable. All in all, a rental of high value for the price. Of course, this being Pinehurst, the area is a mecca for golfers. But I would also note that Seagrove (the home of some 50 artisan potteries open to the public) and the NC Zoo (with the largest natural habitats in the country) are under an hour away. Finally, if like me you are into outside dining when the weather co-operates, there are two places I tried within 10 minutes of the condo that I would highly recommend: the Holly Inn Tavern and the Ironwood Cafe.
